At this point the only thing they are allowing on airplanes are unclothed people.

Ok, so that's an exaggeration. It's really not as bad as they are making it out to be. Just don't carry knives, liquids, guns, lighters, or fingernail clippers!

On my last flight I had a sewing kit with a huge needle in it. They took a look at it, passed it around to a few of the security personnel and decided that they would allow me to carry it.

Your best bet would be to check with the airline on which you will be flying. They have the list posted on their websites.

It is best to check on the individual airline's website as each carrier can be different in terms of what they allow in your carryon bag.

liquids in small containers of 100 ml/100 grams (3.4 oz) is allowed
e.g. shampoo, gel, toothpaste
