The locals will all tell you in early October. The crowds are gone but everything is still open. The weather is comparable to late spring/early summer. I go every spring and have always wanted to go in the fall. I don't think I will get to before I get to move there finally in the next year or so. I love it there!!!!

I'd say spring or summer months. If you want to avoid the summer rush, early spring is an ideal time to visit. The summer crowd starts flooding in in early June. Students pretty much take over throughout June, so if you're wanting to party, that's the time to go. If you're wanting family time, stay in North Myrtle Beach.

The best time to go is late spring (Late March through April) and mid Autumn (early to late October). The weather is warm enough and it's not that crowded. Now if you are going for hot weather and lots of crowds, then the summer months are your best bet.
