Hi

as you may have noticed from my previous question I am looking to do a student placement in Melbourne working for Coles Myer but Im having trouble finding any information about Student Visas on the coles myer web site

if you can help it would be much appreciated

but Im wanting to know if anyone knows of any good, reliable and reputable companies that I could maybe rent a flat or home from for a year if all being well I get my dream student placement in Melbourne working for ColesMyer

A friend of mine is coming down from the north to visit, and we're having a day in London. I'm trying to think of a few cool things we can do during the day. She loves sharks, so I thought the aquarium would be a good start, and we're also going to browse in camden market. We're both 20 and relatively poor (being students).

I have a flight with AA which arrives in Dallas/Ft Worth at 15:30. I then have another flight (seperate ticket) to Guatemala which leaves at 17:15, the only flight for the day.
Given that I have to pass through immigration, I'm going to miss this flight, aren't I?
So what happens? Will AA put me on the next days flight at no cost?

Can anyone tell me whether we should book a hotel in Las Vegas before we go (24th Feb 2007) or is it cheaper rates booking into a hotel when we get there? We intend to book for the first night online then book other nights while we are there are we doing the right thing??

Although the new travel restrictions allow flight to and from the US Mainland and USVI without a passport NORTHWEST AIRLINES IS REQUIRING ALL PASSENGERS to have a passport to fly back from the USVI to the US mainland. A northwest supervisor explained it to me that even though the state department doesn't require it that northwest can still require it's passengers to have passports in case an emergency landing needs to take place in a foreign country?

I don't see any other countries between the USVI and the mainland. That's when she hung up on me.

I'm suppose to leave on Janurary 20th and I have no passport... not happy with northwest airlines in the least.

Anyone else have this problem with them? Anyone have any ideas how I can get around this?

My husband and I would really like to relocate to North Carolina and buy a house in the mountains. I would really, really appreciate some suggestions as far as areas/towns/cities that would best fit our two main needs:

First, my husband works for a major retail chain and must transfer to one of the following locations: Hickory, Winston-Salem, Huntersville, Pineville, Greensboro, Charlotte, Asheville, High Point, Johnson City (TN), or Bristol (VA).

Second, we really want to live IN the mountains - not just see them in the distance on a clear day. In an ideal, perfect world, we'd love to find a place on the side of a mountain with a deck and a great view.

So...I know this is a tall order, but I'm trying to figure out where we can start looking where he won't have a horrible commute, but we could still live on a mountain. I've looked at tons of maps, but I'd really like a human's advice. Any suggestions??

I am going back to America from my year abroad around May 31/Jun 1. I was looking into ways to get back, but flights are very expensive, so I was thinking of taking a ship (since the flight sucks anyway) but those were hard to find for the right times!!! I leaving for st thomas USVI on 01/20/07. I heard from a friend that if you go to timeshare presentations down there you can get some really cool free/discounted stuff. I heard there is one place that will even give you and your guest 50% off of a daysail. I have no intent to buy (i just did a month ago), but it would be nice to save some money while I'm down there.
