Renting in Melbourne?

Hi

as you may have noticed from my previous question I am looking to do a student placement in Melbourne working for Coles Myer but Im having trouble finding any information about Student Visas on the coles myer web site

if you can help it would be much appreciated

the site I have is

but Im wanting to know if anyone knows of any good, reliable and reputable companies that I could maybe rent a flat or home from for a year if all being well I get my dream student placement in Melbourne working for ColesMyer

if any one can help on either issue it would be REALLY appreciated

heh, i live in Melbourne and ironically work at ColesGroup as well (they just sold Myer so are no longer called ColesMyer, but i am sure it will take years for that change to become 'normalised'.

best place to start to look at places to rent would be

once there you can choose pretty much what you like. Another site that is very useful is:

Click on "Victoria", then "Melbourne". You have the option of showing all rental properties which is really handy as you can actually see where the properties are on the Map in relation to things you might need such are public transport, shopping centres, beaches, main roads, that sort of thing. Once you click on the lill picture of the house you will be taken thru to the realestate site for more details.

As for you visa. Found this on the internal intranet.

Coles Group team members must have minimum 6 months validity on their passport for international travel. If you require a new passport, it is your responsibility to arrange this - refer to www.passports.gov.au or call 131 232 for more information.

CWT will submit Visa applications to the consulate in the area if required, on behalf of Coles Group team members.

Visa applications need to be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the travel.

Some more real estate agents websites that you can have a look are provided below.
Depending on where are you going to work/study, you can enter the corresponding suburbs on the website, so you know the availability and how much will it cost you.

In regards to student visa, you may also look at the Department of Immigration website which I will also provide for you below.
