It is an interesting town that is nowhere near west covina.

There's a bridge there that takes you to Foster City.
There's California State University East Bay...formerly Cal State Hayward.
There's a Kaiser Permanente, St. Rose Hospitals
Southland Mall
Tennyson, Hayward high, Moreau, etc
Tennyson, Jackson, A street, Mission Blvd, Winton
I know Hayward....Do you know Fremont!?!?!

I know where it is, because I work there!
I think most people in the East Bay would know where it is. Elswhere (peninsula, Marin, Monterey, etc) people don't know because they have no reason to know. It's not that great of a place.

Yes, I know it. It's south of San Leandro, CA. My 1st husband went to college there.
