When the major eras of exploration were taking place, why was it that God had not manifested Himself through, what are now considered to be, the essentials of civilised(?) religions?
Why were no native groups involved in the eucharist ceremony or a near equivalent. Did God not care enough for them that he let them remain ignorant of this fundamental necessity to christian belief.
Were there Muslim rites being followed by undiscovered and untutored aboriginal peoples or were their needs again ignored by God.
Why did the explorers not find previously undiscovered native peoples following the fundamental tenets of current true religions?
If, at that time there were a true religion, does it not follow that God would have revealed it to the whole world population?

Why did the worship of Quetzalcoatl not gently become similar to the worship of God, as we know it today, instead of waiting for the merciless conquistadors to introduce the God of love to the Aztecs by slaughtering them

Why kill people who already beleived in God, not just any god, but the God they also beleive in?

what was the point

They were charged with heresay, reading the bible

the bible says the beast will make a war with the saints

a saint is anyone who reads and obeys the word of God,

and i guess they looked into the future when it says in revelations the beasst would wage war against them

so why kill so m,any

what was the reason, what was the cause?
Anything other thasn the fulfilment of bible prophecy?

If this is the chruch that God set up, why kill so many people who were already Christians?

who posed no threat
who were not armed

why?

The beast waged war agianst the saints
Over 100 million Chrisitans killed in spain
population of spain is 40 million
Spain is still recovering from this

Is this anything other than bible prophecy of the revelations being fulfied

and the bible says it will happen again during the tribulation forcing sunday worship

why did it happen?

For those who profess to be good christians and who feel that those who are not christian and not of their religion obviously have not read their bible......

I offer to you a scripture to read from the KJV bible...it would be the book of St Matthew chapter 7 verses 22 and 23 and then come back and tell me that doing great works will get you into heaven. That is if you can look me in the eye and tell me that you take the bible literally....

Who in their right mind would wanna just keep bowing down, praising, and worshipping God 24/7 all the time without rest and never get to continue doing all the things they enjoyed doing on Earth, whatever those personal interests and hobbies maybe?

I'm not thrilled about that story of Don Piper seeing people singing and praising God non-stop in Heaven. I would rather be doing the things I enjoy doing.

My Jw preacher every time he knocks seems utterly convinced that Jesus rose as a spirit creature.

He tells me also that the New World Translation bible, is the most truthfyul and recommend one by the Watch Tower society:

This is what it says about the ressurected Jesus

36 While they were speaking of these things he himself stood in their midst [[and said to them: “May YOU have peace.”]] 37 But because they were terrified, and had become frightened, they were imagining they beheld a spirit. 38 So he said to them: “Why are YOU troubled, and why is it doubts come up in YOUR hearts? 39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; feel me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones just as YOU behold that I have.” 40 [[And as he said this he showed them his hands and his feet.]] 41 But while they were still not believing for sheer joy and were wondering, he said to them: “Do YOU have something there to eat?” 42 And they handed him a piece of broiled fish; 43 and he took it and ate it before their eyes.

and Jesus?

Jesus was sent by Allah, who supported Him with the Holy Spirit, to tell the world Allah's will (Koran 2: 87; 5: 110-117*).

Allah gave to the world Jesus, exalted Him above all others, and supported him with the Holy Spirit as proof of His sovereignty (Koran 2: 253*).

These are not my words, but, those of al Qua'aran.

Yet, Muslims deny Isa bin Maryum al Massihe's Divinity and condemn the Holy Spirit saying the Trinity is wrong!?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, aren't you supposed to respect the People of the Book?

Why, then do some of you sow discord and make us oppose you?

It is our Season to be Merry, so let me wish you all "Kul'am wa antum bikh'air!"

[for those who don't know Arabic, that's "Happy New Year"]

Ma salamah. [Peace]

If you believe (wrongly) that the Catholic Church was not created until a few centuries after Christ's death, then how is it you can find among ancient Christian writings the letters of Pope Clement I, who was Pope and Bishop of Rome from 88 AD to 97 AD ?

In the list of Popes......
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/12272b.htm
.. the first four are:

St. Peter (32-67 AD)
St. Linus (67-76 AD)
St. Anacletus (76-88 AD)
St. Clement I (88-97 AD)

So, how can this be if there was no Catholic Church or no Popes until the 4th century?

(Realize this is a rhetoorical question.)

Why does is seem that christians thrive on being hated, does it give them the moral high ground to pass judgement on other religions or non-religions (atheists)? Baring in mind that the majority does not posses the necessary knowledge regarding these religions, which are vastly different to their own. Does this give them the false idea that somehow they can preach love and understanding on the one hand yet when it comes to that which is different they break it down and destroys (or try to) destroy it?

weigh you down...
They say that "still waters run deep" and I have been practicing getting quiet and just allowing Spirit to enter in,
morning and night.
Trying to practice doing it in the middle of my day when I'm caught up in the whirlwind. Just taking a moment and trying to reflect and remember who is really running the show and to stay out of His way.
Fixating on something that I am grateful about has been helping with it. Ok, I know enough, here's my question...
What do YOU do, to stay centered and focused on your particular path?
I'm sure we all have our moments where we lose sight of it but what do YOU do to bring YOU back?
Apologies for such a long question maybe someday I'll stop procrastinating and write a "real" book. lol
Blessings
In Spirit

should we even be allowed to say such words as love, truth, kindness, understanding, friendship.

Since these are all christian ideals, then we non-christians OBVIOUSLY dont know what these things mean.

Also, we shouldnt be allowed to get married unless we are christian either, since its a union recognized by god himself, and we are not worth of him since we dont believe in the christian god, so obviously we shouldnt be allowed to get married either.

How about kids, since we are non-christian, we might taint their minds with filth, so we should all be steralized so we cant breed.

Since non-christians are sooo bad, we lie, cheat, steal, kill, have pre-marital sex, are gay, are just abominations to god, we just shouldnt have any rights at all should we?

Just curious. Since you deny homosexuals so many rights, and look at them as less than human, whos to say you wont take away the rights of all non-christians, where does the line get drawn? Who is worthy, who isnt?

"In (the) beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god."

For support of this , WTS turned to the so-called "expertise" of a known spirit-medium. His name was Johannes Greber. He was a defrocked Catholic Priest who received his so-called "translation" of the bible through spiritistic means, usually in trances. The Watchtower Society exposed him in the February 15th, l956 Watchtower, warning that his sources were demonic. We couldn't agree with them more!

However, in 1961, just five years later, they were singing his praises and quoting him as an authority for their New World Translation, since he was a supporter of their doctrine on the person of Jesus Christ, and all three sources, Greber, the demons, and the Watchtower Society all agreed that Jesus was merely "a god".

While knowingly agreeing with and quoting a spirit medium, they nevertheless spoke out against spiritistic practices.

I have seen man intelligent and brilliant souls. They talk with lots of wisdom. However because of their over confidence, they discuss serious subjects based on some assumptions or little knowledge they posses.

There are some serious subjects in life, where it needs lots of reading and understanding before we conclude and lecture.

I would suggest these special people to learn and talk which shall contribute to society’s growth.

Once they start assuming and expressing they are actually tampering the truth.

It occurs to me that when morality is being discussed, the very fact that homosexuality is even mentioned is indicative of a problem with our definition of morality.

When morality and sex between two consenting adults have anything to do with each other, it's time for us to take a step back and re-examine what morality means to us.

The point is, homophobia is a far greater evil than homosexuality, your thoughts?
