In the Bible when in it said that in order to be saved, one must be baptized in water--they didn't mean that literally.

Hell the majority of Christians who got baptized still got drunk and f^&cked everything with legs on Saturday before hailing Jesus on Sunday (Hence hypocrites).

Baptisim (Think I spelled this wrong) refers to spiritual cleansing. If you one day decide to stop doing the things you know are wrong, and start bettering your life and working your way towards becoming positive in His eyes, then you have already been saved. It's the mentality and spirit that is cleansed internally, not the physical body externally.

...Aaaaaand back in those days they didn't know anything about ph levels and chlorine and baptismal tanks, so use (no offense) common sense next time you ask a question like this.

There are no requirements for a baptismal tank. Baptism however, even by definition, requires "much water" and is an immersion. Every example of baptism in the Bible centers around a large amount of water or going "down into" the water. There is not scriptural evidence or examples of pouring or sprinkling.

A baptismal is not require. A person can be baptized in a lake, river or any other large body of water where the person can be fully immersed.

Notice the Apostle Paul's statement in Romans 6:3,4. "Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Paul states clearly that baptism is a burial. To bury something is to cover it completely. Sprinkling or pouring will not substitute for the burial which baptism demands. In fact, the word "baptism" itself means “to immerse, dip, plunge." Bible baptism is a burial.

Any water is good, as long as your are not going to suffer from contaminated water. ph level in personal water features ought to match the ph of the human eye - 7.2 or 7.4, I forget which. That's not biblical, just the way it's supposed to be done. The proper ph level will prevent eye irritation.

Of John it says He baptized in such a place because there was much water. Of peter and the faithful treasurer, it says they went down into the water, and they came back up. That about covers it.

30The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

31And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

32But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

33And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
