We watched "Facing the Giants" last night for the first time. I have never been so greatly impacted by a movie……….ever in my life.
I think what finally sent me over the edge was the last line of the film by the coach…..after he found out that his wife was finally pregnant:
"Oh God……I'm overwhelmed"

You have no idea how much this film has increased my faith today.
I am so glad that it was recommended to us by some friends in the church.

Have you seen this film yet?

Troll isn't a clean cut term.
For instance "myreligion is bigger than yours" posted a funny question about atheism, but we all know he's atheist. And someone called him a troll.

I realise that Jack Chick is a complete nut but after reading this:

http://www.chick.com/articles/frpg.asp I have to ask: Do religious people seriously consider fantasy roleplay to be a start to the slippery slope towards devil worship?

I'm serious, does anyone think that even kids are gullible enough to believe that you can go from table-top games to casting spells, etc?

why do we care so much what the other side think isnt it enough just to assure ourselves we're right and not try to convert the other side to our argument

i say this because a lot of my fellow scientists constantly berate religeon for "trying to convert them"
when those same scientists will spend hours berating christians about evolution in essence trying to convert them

just live and let live right

i ask again why does it matter so much to us that everyone thinks the way we do

Mormons believe that God is 3 seperate Gods with Jesus and God having bodies and the holy spirit not. God was once a man

the bible teaches one God (Isa 44:8, 45:4-6,18,21-22 I Jn 5:7) He is a spirit (Jn 4:24) and not an exaulted man (Num 23:19)

Mormons teach that only LDS have the authority to baptize, ordain, etc. Having a 2 part priesthood. Melchizedek and Aaronic

The bible teaches that Christ brought an end to the Levital (aaronic) and he is the only High Preist after the order of Melchisedec (Heb 6:8) and that every believer is considered part of a royal priesthood (I Pet 3:9)

He claimed to be the son of God, the Son of Man, the Savior, the Messiah, the ONLY door for the sheep to come in, The ONLY way to God, and much much more...

My question to anyone who says that Jesus was a prophet, but NOT the son of God, "So what are you saying? That Jesus was a liar? Do you not know that no true prophet of God lies?" God is not a liar and neither is his son...

By the way, Not only Jesus called Himself the Son of God, but God Himself proclaimed hm to be His son. Peter, Paul, and all the disciples knew Him as the Son of God. After Jesus was risen from the dead, Thomas, who said he would not believe unless he saw the nail holes in Jesus's hands, fell at His feet when Jesus showed up and stretched out His hands for Thomas to check... and Thomas, the skeptic proclaimed, my Lord and God!

If anyone wants references from the Holy Bible for any of what I have said, I will be glad to provide them.

It's 2 degrees Celsius outside. I've just had a woman knock on my door. She apologised for calling when it's so cold. She was pushing a pram with a six month old child in it. It turns out she's a Jehovah's Witness going door-to-door.
