He claimed to be the son of God, the Son of Man, the Savior, the Messiah, the ONLY door for the sheep to come in, The ONLY way to God, and much much more...
My question to anyone who says that Jesus was a prophet, but NOT the son of God, "So what are you saying? That Jesus was a liar? Do you not know that no true prophet of God lies?" God is not a liar and neither is his son...
By the way, Not only Jesus called Himself the Son of God, but God Himself proclaimed hm to be His son. Peter, Paul, and all the disciples knew Him as the Son of God. After Jesus was risen from the dead, Thomas, who said he would not believe unless he saw the nail holes in Jesus's hands, fell at His feet when Jesus showed up and stretched out His hands for Thomas to check... and Thomas, the skeptic proclaimed, my Lord and God!
If anyone wants references from the Holy Bible for any of what I have said, I will be glad to provide them.
I look forward to your comments and answers.

1.The first commandment of the ten those were reveled to prophet Moses is " Not to associate another god with God" how will you resolve this if you believe that Jesus is His son and is God also .. it means Christians are not worshiping only God but also Jesus beside Him which contradict with the first commandment .
2. No one can ever say a prophet is a liar ..it is a very big sin in Islam to call any prophet is a liar .. simply the bible was mishandled and some false verses were added. Jesus never ever claimed that he is God or son of God .. he always emphasized on being a servant of God.
3. If it wasn't for the last preserved revelation from God which is Quran I would may be think like you but since there is another revelation solved this dispute so there is no reason on insisting on worshiping of Jesus as son of God.
4. God has mentioned in the Quran that Jesus is like Adam ...Adam was born without a father or a mother this didn't make him son of God .. The way Jesus was born from without a father is just a miracle from God as He is capable of doing anything He wants same for the miracles that Jesus had it is just miracles from God given to one of His prophets
Please have a look at this conversation between God and Jesus at the day of Judgment .. I love those verses..
116 And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah? " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen.
117 "Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) did command me to say: Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world).
118 "If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if You forgive them, verily You, only You are the AllMighty, the AllWise."

If the learned Asker wants references from the Holier Books, that can be provided. The Asker's belief is in what Paul, Peter and others are reported to have said. It is not what my lord Jesus said in his Aramaic Vernacular, the language in which he preached. He did not preach in Greek, Latin, Hebrew. After the Aramaic original may have been destroyed in the 1st Vatican, by King Constantine, the later generations, on facing the challenge to produce the original Aramaic, made a translation of the Greek etc. into Aramaic. The original is lost for ever. May be The Unitarians have some portions.

For God to become man, God would loose His divinity and be subject to the limitations of time and space thereby being unable to sustain all of creation.
For God to become man and then die, the Godhead would be destroyed.
If a man were God in human form on Earth, to whom would he have prayed...to himself?
If man were God on Earth, and knew he was God, any death he might experience would be meaningless as he would know that he could not really die.
Should you actually study more than a translation of a translation of a translation , etc. and so on of the canonical gospels, as well as study those gospel accounts that were rejected by the Roman Catholic Church when it compiled the same at the Council of Nicea on or around 345 C.E., you will find that the claims of the divinity of Jesus / Isa (peace be upon him) were added at that time and were not a common belief prior to the same.
There is only One God, Who has no equals, partners, associates nor sons or daughters.
A little studious effort will go along way to dispel your entrenched ignorance.

I heard the cliche in church all the time that Jesus was either a Liar, Lunatic, or Lord. you can't just say he was a good man because he claimed to be the son of God. which means he was either crazy, a liar, or he actually was the son of God - it's impossible that jesus was JUST a good man.

Following you way of thinking: the Qur'an says that Jesus was a prophet and NEVER claimed anything else (which would be blasphemy after all).. Why would The Qur'an be less true then the Bible? It is the direct word of God after all and not just "inspired"..

thank you for your question. as we all know, the original language of bible was hebrew, then the bible has been translated to mostly in english to ease the people to understand the bible. for sure, to make less mistakes in translation the bible, some words were been misconcept by other persons.
but, you may not know what "son and father" means in hebrew. in hebrew, the word 'father' is used to mean God, whereas, the word 'son' is used to refer for those who are respected such as prophet.
please refer to matthew 5 : 9,
"blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God."
clearly, all the peacemakers are not son of God, if do, how many sons does God has??
the begotten son was been created by the catholic pope.

Your logic is flawed, you state that no prophet is a liar, but all prophets are merely men, which are capable of sin... even telling lies... I think all religion is crap but just wanted to expose the flaw in your thought.
Good day to you then...

Where are you going with this one? This question, or at least the way you worded it, does nothing for the group. It would be like my saying, "do you realize that there are many gods?"
