What if I don't want to be taken away and lifted up into heaven. What if I wanted to stay on earth and enjoy paradise on earth....Didn't God created me as a human not a spirit....
Psalm 37:10-11.....And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
Revelation 7:9...After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.
In response to John's questions" who are these ones"
Revelation 7:13-14.....And in response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?” Â So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one that knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
The Bible also says that a great crowd will survive the great tribulation.....

The Jews waited 4000 years for Jesus to show up. When He did, they didn't recognize Him to the point of killing Him.
The apostles didn't understand the whole, "die and raise from the dead in three days thing."
During Jesus' time on earth, there were dissensions in the church already. Churches were straying from the truth while Jesus was still alive.
So what makes any Christian really think we can "Know" what is going to happen, with any certainty, in the end times? Just be ready!!!
I wouldn't focus on it too much. What did Jesus say? The two most important things: Love God and Love your Neighbor. Peace out.

The Rapture is the ecstatic bliss that a REAL CHristian experiences.
Jesus is not coming to whisk his 'friends' off to a far away heaven - "THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS WITHIN YOU" - This foolishness of keeping people waiting for 'that day' is what is causing much misery in the world today.
NOW is the time of salvation, NOW the power of the Spirit is being poured out, NOW.
You cannot claim to 'Know Jesus' and not experience the Bliss of the Divine Presence.

I had a rapture once. I was in HS, playing football without a cup and I got drilled right in the family jewels.
Oh wait, that was a rupture.
Yeah, Rapture's purely fictional.

The next event to occur on God’s calendar is the coming of Christ to take His people home to heaven. I Thessalonians 4:13-18. This is known as the “Rapture” of the Church. Christ will descend from heaven, the trumpet will sound and the bodies of believers who have died will be raised. Then Living believers will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.
It will happen in the “blinking” of your eye. This passage of Scripture is the play by play account of this event. Read it slowly and carefully, because it is about you if you know Jesus Christ as your Savior today. I Corinthians 15:51-58. Maybe today!

Well that's the big debate - but I truly hope it's pre-trib.
