and Jesus?

Jesus was sent by Allah, who supported Him with the Holy Spirit, to tell the world Allah's will (Koran 2: 87; 5: 110-117*).

Allah gave to the world Jesus, exalted Him above all others, and supported him with the Holy Spirit as proof of His sovereignty (Koran 2: 253*).

These are not my words, but, those of al Qua'aran.

Yet, Muslims deny Isa bin Maryum al Massihe's Divinity and condemn the Holy Spirit saying the Trinity is wrong!?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, aren't you supposed to respect the People of the Book?

Why, then do some of you sow discord and make us oppose you?

It is our Season to be Merry, so let me wish you all "Kul'am wa antum bikh'air!"

[for those who don't know Arabic, that's "Happy New Year"]

Ma salamah. [Peace]

I guess you take the New Year to be according to the Muslim Calender; but, my wishing you all was a general thing.

Malesh.

Ma sala'amah, aziz.

Just to clarify a point, I did not quote the Koran to say there is any Trinity mentioned there, but said that even there, it is clear that Jesus is Sovereign and the Holy Spirit exists.

Question being, therefore, why are you offended by Christians saying "In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen"?

Shall I put it in Arabic for you?

Bismillahi, Bismisa al Massihe, Bisme-Ruh i illahi, Ameen.

Is this acceptable to you, then?

For those who don't understand Arabic, the Muslim salutation "Bismillahi ur Rahman, ur Rahim" translates as "In the Name of God, the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful."

If you'd try to understand, instead of presuming that you know it all, then, maybe, we wouldn't have so many conflicts.

The Koran doesn't say that Jesus[was no more than a Prophet], please; that's what you say. It says that God said He was Sovereign.

Perhaps if you understand the Word of God, it'll help.

By the way, the Roman Catholic Doctrine does not say they are 3 Gods.

For those Muslims who'd like to say anything otherwise about this, please remember that one of the Names of Allah is "our Father".

If someone calls Isa bin Maryum al Massihe His Son, we should not be offended; because we are all His "Children" and to honor al Massihe is not wrong.

I'm merely trying to make you see sense.

God knows we need it, considering the replies I see here, where people use foul language and even get offended by wished a New Year in their language.

The reason Muslims don't is because the Koran is the doctrine of abrogation, (declares something void later). Here is a scripture that declares that the Trinity doesn't exist, then you have one that says it does. It is very confusing!

Chapter 4: Verse 171 O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him.

So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist – it is better for you.

Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

Muslims are right in not believing in the trinity cause there is NO trinity, Jesus gave us countless examples that He and God are two different persons, He continously prayed to God, He told us to ask the Father in His name John 15:16

And if that is not enough for you just think of this Stephan saw Jesus standing at the right hand of the Father Acts 7:55-56 and this is supported by Col 3:1

people who deny the trinity & deny the Holy Spirit in simple terms don't comprehend their Bibles. So then we arise with that the Holy Spirit isn't God?? I very much debate that one. Or will we are saying that Jehovah isn't God?? or that Jehovah and Jesus are a similar individual, which the Bible needless to say shows Jesus chatting together with his Father. the only answer is 3 persons = one God, there's no longer different genuine looking answer. to assert that Jesus is the only authentic God, then denies Jehovah & the Holy Spirit as being God. Jesus spoke that the Holy Spirit could be our comforter & that HE could instruction manual us. P

Does the Koran show that Allah, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the same thing? Or are they three entirely separate entities?

The doctrine of the trinity is not based on scripture. It was created by men, not like the scriptures which were written by prophets under the direction of God.

In Qur'an God exactly mentioned that he is unique and Christ is not his son but God's slave.

And in the interpretation the holy spirit means Jibraeel ( name of an angel who bring the message to saint Marry to tell her that she will become pregnant ).

Qur'an need interpretation, even those people who cliam they know alot about Qur'an they seriously don't.

because the quran itself says

'The Messiah Jesus son of Mary was (no more than) a Messenger of God' [did ya notice it doesnt say son of God]

Because the concept of Trinity (3 gods) is against the singleness of God in Islam.
In Arabic there is not even a plural form for Allah.

uh...most muslims I know respect Christians and even other religions. Maybe the extremists believe otherwise, but they simply don't believe in the Trinity. Nothing wrong with that.

We do respect every religion. We must respect every religion. Those Muslims who do not respect others or their religion are practicing wrong.

We believe that Isa (Jesus) was brought down from Allah through Mariam (AS).. We believe he is a prophet and he did preform miracles. However, wut we dont believe is that Jesus (AS) did not die. He was taken to heaven with Allah and would one day come back down.
