like missing links and transitional animals. We should be observing other primates evolving to be more human like with every generation yet all we have is the same species producing the same species. What do you make of this? How can people still buy into evolution?

Because it has less holes than the opposing, "Whoomph, there it is" theory.

Transitional fossils... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transitional_fossils

Missing link is just a laymans term for transitional fossil... If you really want to learn something visit the link above to see several examples of transitional fossils. Also what in the world makes you think that just because our primate ancestors evolved into present day humans that other primates will also evolve into humans?? That is like saying that all trees grow in the exact same way and branch out along the exact same lines. You have no concept nor comprehension of what evolution is that is why to you it appears to have holes in it. If you took the time to read and learn about evolution you would better understand your own faulty premise in your question. You are assuming that all primates will evolve into humans, nothing could be farther from the truth. It is impossible for 2 species to follow the exact same evolutionary path, and experience the exact same evolutionary pressures to arrive at the same end result as another. You are proposing that the evolutionary journeysspanning millions of years, with uncountable and unfathomable variations of several completely different species will arrive at the same destination. DO you understand how ridiculous such an assumption is? Look at all the primates in the world, they are all different variations of the same theme, but as variations they are all different and not one of them came to the same conclusion as another. You are suggesting that millions of years of evolution have placed the exact same pressures and conditions upon 2 completely different populations.. and that my friend is an impossible probability. Of course the same species is reproducing the same species they always will, but they will always produce slight variations and these variations over millions of years add up to a creature that differs considerably from its ancestors. Thus every species on the planet is currently in transition, every creature you see is a transitional form change never stops it rolls on unimpeded by your ignorance. You and I will never live long enough to see the ultimate results, it takes generations of change to amount to a new species. That is why the fossil record is so important, it shows us what came before, and it clearly shows transition from one form to another.

The single best piece of evidence in favor of evolution is the fact that the critics need to lie to make their argument. I truly wish that there were another way to say it but I suspect you knew this was a lie when you wrote it.

==
"like missing links and transitional animals."
There are thousands of transitional fossils leading up to modern animals. In fact every animal on earth can be seen as a potential transitional animal.

"We should be observing other primates evolving to be more human like with every generation."

What you just said is you don't understand what evolution is. Evolution is an organism adapting to its environment. Why would current primates be making these fast changes if they are at equilibrium with their environment. And in organisms where we tightly control the environment we can indeed force a change by changing their environment.
--
"What do you make of this?" I 'make' that you know little or nothing about evolution and have little more than misinformation about it.

--
"Why do people still believe in the evolutionary theory when there are so many holes in it?" It's sad that it needs to be pointed out that the only reason you or anyone else is aware of the remaining unanswered questions regarding evolution is because scientists are the ones debating them. The very scientists you criticize are the source of what very little credibility your criticism has.

I hope you have thick skin. You'll need it for this question.

To answer your question: They believe in it because they don't believe it has holes in it...and if they do admit to holes, it is just areas yet to be discovered, while the basic tenets of evolution are factual.

They also question why YOU believe in Creation when it has so many holes in it. You will disagree claiming there are no holes in it, just areas we can't comprehend, while the basic tenets of Christianity are factual.

See the dilemma? You're both right and both wrong.

Clearly and obviously the only the 'holes' are the ones in your basic biology education.

They like jumping over the holes, then filling them in with whatever comes into their so-called "intelligent" minds. It's easy. Got a hole? Just make something up to put in it! Can't find bones that match?? Easy. Just take them from wherever you want and "fit" them together, and voila!! You have instant evolution. Then, you can just draw pictures, too, in case you can't find fossils or bones. Just use your imagination. Let it run wild. You can make up all kinds of things, and call them what you want, and people will believe it. You can even add millions of years on to "fit" whatever you need to fit into your theory. That way, you've covered your bases. Isn't evolution fun??? Anyone can do it. Just call yourself a scientist, and people will believe whatever you say. You can even teach it to other people's children who don't want you to. Then, you can brainwash them to believe all your nonesense, even though you don't have any proof of it, as long as it doesn't have anything to do with God, then people will latch onto it right away, because, believing that people came from some goop on the ground is much easier to believe than there is a Creator who loves us, and made us in His image. Then, you know what? You don't have to be accountable for anything you do in your life. Anything goes, because you don't believe in a God, so He must not exist, therefore, you don't have to answer to Him.

Wow! doesn't this just make so much sense???

Wow, you don't understand evolution at all. Try the science or biology section...

(hint: read up a little first, and I don't mean at creationist websites)

PS here's some transitional fossils to get your teeth into...

What holes are you talking about? We see evolution everyday. Just walk into any hospital and look at the bacteria and virus' that are evolving into these super bugs by becoming resistant to the drugs that we are using to fight them. Is there not a better definition of evolution than that.

They don't really they just need a cloak for the sins they can't stand to live without committing. So that theory is just as good as the next one.

Very funny parody of christian goofiness. You are really able to capture of the essence of the dumbness of the christian argument against evolution by applying logic that they refuse to apply to themselves. Excellent.

Because it's a slow process - you may notice only a slight change over a thousand years. But the theory has evidence to support it, and the evidence is found world-wide, and it's consistent with other evidence. That's a claim that the creationists and intelligent design folks can't make.
