In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and the WORD was God. (John 1:1)
The WORD became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14)
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (John 20:31)

The WORD is not a what, but a WHO. He is Jesus.

Simply put that verse from John is from a Greek writing. Basically the WORD is the Logos, or Divine Mind/Reasoning.

Not sure why people say it is Jesus, that is a GREEK term.

Encyclopedia Britannica (1998 edition) which writes of the word Logos: “In Greek philosophy and theology, the divine reason implicit in the cosmos, ordering it and giving it form and meaning. Though the concept defined by the term logos is found in Greek, Indian, Egyptian, and Persian philosophical and theological systems... The idea of the logos in Greek thought harks back at least to the 6th-century-BC philosopher Heracleitus, who discerned in the cosmic process a logos analogous to the reasoning power in man. Later, the Stoics, philosophers who followed the teachings of the thinker Zeno of Citium (4th-3rd century BC), defined the logos as an active rational and spiritual principle that permeated all reality... Philo of Alexandria, a 1st-century-AD Jewish philosopher, taught that the logos was the intermediary between God and the cosmos, being both the agent of creation and the agent through which the human mind can apprehend and comprehend God. According to Philo and the Middle Platonists, philosophers who interpreted in religious terms the teachings of the 4th-century-BC Greek master philosopher Plato, the logos was both immanent in the world and at the same time the transcendent divine mind... The identification of Jesus with the logos, which is implied in various places in the New Testament but stated specifically in the Fourth Gospel, was further developed in the early church but more on the basis of Greek philosophical ideas... the early Christian Fathers stated that Christ as the preexistent logos (1) reveals the Father to mankind and is the subject of the Old Testament manifestations of God; (2) is the divine reason in which the whole human race shares, so that the 6th-century-BC philosopher and others who lived with reason were Christians before Christ; and (3) is the divine will and word by which the worlds were framed”.

"In the beginning there was the word and the Word was with God and God said, Let there Be".
Here there are three prime aspects:
God (the Luminal, the Absolute or Perfect Radiance);
the Word: the Nominal (pre-cosmic)
and Let there Be (the phenomenal or the apparent world of mainfestation)

If you are to "know" more, then ask, ask within, you will be given the answer relevant to you, now.
This is the "Way of the Heart".

You will not get ultimate answers from the mind.
The mind is an activity.
Your questions need your answers,
this is the way to unfold for you, all-that-is.

Heed this,

Peace

Actually, this doesn't have any thing to do with the bible. It is an old occult formula for magick: it is the creation of WORD to WORLD (WORD < WORLD), meaning, you speak and it is so, or what you SAY, the words you USE, creates your world, creates the circumstances of your life. If you say you're sick long enough, and take action to make yourself sick, you will be sick eventually. If you say you're rich, and take action to become rich, eventually you WILL BE rich. It's a form of magick that was written as code in the bible ("In the beginning was the word..............") This doesnt mean god said a word, but it means that THOUGHT, and SPEAKING, DECLARING what's so even when it's NOT so, is, in the beginning of manifestation, the WORD become flesh. The story, the fable, the fantasy of god becoming man etc. etc. is just this secret magickal formula written down for others with the eyes to see and the Will to Power. Speaking without action produces nothing. Speaking with action to manifest the WORD, produces the flesh of the WORD. That's what the whole biblical fantasmagora is all about.

Have you heard, the word is LOVE.

Say the word and you'll be free
Say the word and be like me
Say the word I'm thinking of
Have you heard the word is love?
It's so fine, It's sunshine
It's the word, love
In the beginning I misunderstood
But now I've got it, the word is good

Spread the word and you'll be free
Spread the word and be like me
Spread the word I'm thinking of
Have you heard the word is love?
It's so fine, It's sunshine
It's the word, love
Everywhere I go I hear it said
In the good and the bad books that I have read

Say the word and you'll be free
Say the word and be like me
Say the word I'm thinking of
Have you heard the word is love?
It's so fine, It's sunshine
It's the word, love
Now that I know what I feel must be right
I'm here to show everybody the light

Give the word a chance to say
That the word is just the way
It's the word I'm thinking of
And the only word is love
It's so fine, It's sunshine
It's the word, love

The above statement is from John 1:1

First of all, to remind the Christians that it is NOT Jesus Christ (pbuh) speaking here. So this statement is just made by some other person. Its not the statement of Jesus (pbuh). Let me reveal some deception in the Biblical Translation here.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God , and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

The word used for God in this verse is “theos”.

The Europeans have evolved a system, they put a capital “G” for God when they refer to Almighty God and put a small “g” when referring to some other deity. When they speak about Hindu and Greek gods and goddesses they put a small “g”.

When the Christians speak about Jesus (pbuh). They put a capital “G”, when the same word “theos” is used for somebody else, the Christians put a small “g”. Consider the following.

“4The god (theos) of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers,” (II Corinthians 4:4)

The same word “theos” is used here, which is used in John 1:1. But the Christians have put a small “g” here. Take another example.

“19Their destiny is destruction, their god (theos) is their stomach,” (Philippians 3:19)

Again, they have put a small “g” when translating for something/somebody else. However, the King James Version is honest in translating Philippians 3:19. The above translation is from NIV.

So we see from the above examples, the deception of the Biblical Translators. When it comes to Jesus (pbuh), they translate the word “theos” as “God”. Consider one more example.

“8But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God (theos), will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.” (Hebrews 1:8)

Again, when it is referring to Jesus (pbuh), they put a capital “G”.

The Word in this verse refers to Christ and shows that he was involved in the creation.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1

Notice the use of the plural words "us" and "our" in the following verse. God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit were all involved in the creation process.

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: " Genesis 1:26

He was in the beginning with God. He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:2-5 NLT

'OM' . "Ooooooooooommmmmmmm"

Take a deep breath and chant it from the gut releasing your breath slowly, stressing on "O" till the end of your breath, ending it with "M". You will feel your whole being vibrating with the Cosmic Sound. This was THE word in the beginning, still vibrating in the Universe; according to HIndu belief...

The Word would be Christ. John 1:14 says that the Word (logos) became flesh and dwelt (tabernacled) among us. Christ is the final revelation of the character and nature of God. Therefore He is referred to as the final WORD on the matter.
