If humans someday manage to colonize planets in other solar systems, do you think that the colonists are likely to practice the Christian religion on those other worlds? Or is Christianity too Earth-centric?
For instance, according to the bible, when Jesus returns he is going to come down from the clouds to Earth with trumpets blazing, etc. But, if Jesus is supposed to return to Earth, what about all the colonies on other worlds? Would Jesus do a repeat performance on all of them?
Satan was supposedly cast down to Earth by God. How would that belief work out with people being on other planets? Do you think they would assume that Satan had to stay on Earth because that's where God threw him down?
Do you think there would be a large enough number of theological problems in relating Christianity to new worlds that it would eventually discourage people from believing in Christianity when living on other worlds?
