I believe that we have a 'soul' that survives after death. I believe that we are all one connected consciousness. Not sure if there is a supreme being, other than the collective supreme being that we are all part of. Think organised religion is a way to control the masses and divert them away from focussing on themselves and their relationship with the universe. My peronal motto is, 'what goes around, comes around.'

I was born a Roman Catholic but never really got into it. Until recently I believed in nothing, I needed hard facts before I would commit. Recent Astral Travelling experiences have brought me spiritually to where I am today. I was just wondering which category best fits my belief system?

Everything you state, from the 'collective supreme being' to 'astral travel brought you to spirituality' points to pagan, wiccan, or shamanistic beliefs. Study on it. :) I'm in exactly the same boat. Email if you need to talk. :)

Good luck!!

What faith are any of us? Religion is like autism, like the child who goes to school every day on the same route over the bridge past the pond what happens when one day you take a new route? Like the autistic child the people panic. All religions do come from one source I believe over time we have forgotten where these storeys have come from some people know the truth but we are being treated like that child again. The masses are manipulated by the few. Here is an example England used to be a Catholic country until Henry VIII wanted to marry again, he knew the church would not give him an annulment so he created a new Church it was that simple. So I can only surmise that this kind of occurrence has happend before. So it stands to reason that most religions are a bastardised versions of something that went before but changed to suit the needs of the few, the powers that be. When you think of it like that. How can you truly believe any religion? So where do these storeys come from? In my opinion they all come from the same source I believe that in the past the world was visited by aliens who have tried to guide us in the right direction but at the end of the day we are ultimately in charge of our own destiny. I mean it would be easier to believe that a God told you how to live than an alien but to our forefathers how would an alien appear? He would be like a God, some of the older religions do speak of the people from the clouds. Have you ever read the Koran? In it they speak of the universe of Nebula, genetics now how could a man from 1400 years ago know of such things? That is not all there is a tribe in Africa that new about Sirius having a dwarf star which we only proved was there in the 1970's Here is a link you might find interesting http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/ I do however also believe our consciousness is ever lasting. And I know for a fact that spirits exist and they can interact with us if they choose. So in answer to your question. You are what ever you want to be and you shouldn't need a label to justify who or what you are, just try and live your life as good as you can and treat everyone with respect so long as they treat you the same way.

You might check out Unity - it fits with your independent but spiritually driven expression. The astral traveling would be very much okay at Unity. The "what goes around, comes around" motto suggests that you think a little like a Budhist - karma in this lifetime part. However, the folks at Unity would accept that too.
*Unity is different than Unitarian.

Possibly spiritualism due to the fact that you mention astral travelling experiences and life after death as well as believing that we are all part of one being.
Spiritualists believe that we (living and dead) all live in the same world but on different plains and can open themselves to receive contact with those in spirit. They also believe in the teachings of Jesus to a degree but do not worship him as such.

Dude whatever religion you chose to take, god is one being, religion are just different ways to him/her. Karma and god are two different things totally so if you want. You can chose to believe in the omnipresent presence that we call god and not believe in any particular religion.By doing so you would be following the principals of all religions i.e non violence and peace. Something the world should be following in their respective religions!

just like my abstract idea makes sense to me but everyone else keeps telling me whatever... their religion sounds more wack than my explanaiton!!

You talk about Karma and a "soul" living on past death. You don't mention other lives, but it seems to fit closely with Buddhism.

Well, you sound like I did before I found Wicca.
However, there are many MANY religious beliefs out there.
I say, do your homework, and find what works for you.

I'd guess a free thinker maybe. I've become interested in astral projection and auras myself lately.
