Did you get the point of the story?
BTW. Every time I thank Jesus for the good stuff in my life, things start going terribly wrong.

I'd love to have seen him 'cure' lepers. Leprosy is basically where your nerves stop registering pain so you don't realise when you've damaged your body - to cure such an illness AND restore a inadvertently-self-beaten body would have gotten Jesus a bit more respect than the Bible claims he got. It's basically the equivelant of holding a severed limb back in place to reattach it. And I mean without anything else, no stitches, etc.
And yeah I think you mean came back and _thanked_ him.

This account is from the Bible at Luke 17 v 11-19. You should read all the Gospel accounts, and surely you mean that only one came back to Jesus to thank him, we should be like that man and be grateful for the things we receive from God.

You mean to "thank" him?
Yes, many people are not thankful for the great things Christ has done for us. That is a good story: There is much to learn from that story. Always be thankful for what Jesus has done for you, and for the Catholic Church He established which blesses you with all His gifts.

And how many times have you seen or heard of someone having a great goodness come into their lives and never heard them say "Thank you"?
Yes, it's a cracking good tale. It says the following:
A) It's courteous to thank any and all who have done you a goodness.
B) When God says "yes" to your prayers, it's a courtesy to say "Thank you" to Him.
C) By extension, saying "Thank you" when you are done a good turn will probably dispose people to help you in the future when you need that help.

Perhaps one of the other nine was the cured leper from Life of Brian who complained about having his livelihood taken away.

Only one came back to thank Christ for what He had done for them. Yes, it is sad. The point is that Christ has offered new life to EVERYONE, but not all of us will accept it. Even though it is freely given. THAT is what I find to be sad!
stayfan2: I think you have your religions confused. I have never heard of a Christian suicide bomber.

You mean only one returned to thank Him. Yes, I have heard this story before. It's sad but it's also (and unfortunately) an accurate portrayal
