Prayer has a zero percent chance of stopping bullets.

In some of the school shootings, it appears that religion was actually a contributing factor to the shooter's reasons for wanting to kill people. Prayer in school would likely cause an increase in school shootings. Kids that were unable to force themselves to believe in the religious stuff that was being pushed would probably feel even more socially isolated.

Also, religion and insanity can be an especially volatile mix. Forcing kids that have psychological problems to adhere to some school-mandated religious beliefs could exacerbate their problems - especially if ignorant believers at the school told them they were suffering from "demon possession".

People do have free will their are many accounts of people stopping an evil act through prayer. I or you don't know why this stuff happens, I do know this in 1963 things were different,1864 they took prayer out of schools it was palpable the change. Many social factors going on to but the impact of just that daily reminder that we are accountable to a supreme being that there is ultimate truth did help! Will help. We experimented with God being out of the schools it has failed. Maybe time to try to put it back before this whole society falls apart or is it to late??

LOL actually prayer in schools doesn't stop school shootings. You know some of those kids at Columbine begged god to spare them before they were shot.
