No, no, no, and no. Might spend some money on satellite imagery looking for those golden tablets, but I highly doubt the others.

lol. People make a big deal about Romney's Mormonism. He simply won't have the power, or the backing, to make polygamy legal, so the rest of your questions don't apply. Interestingly, though, Mormons weren't the only ones to have legalized polygamy. Judaism had a 1000 year ban on polygamy that ended several years ago. This was an effort to quash the religious tension between the Christian Church and Judaism. So, by that note, would we worry about the same thing with a Lieberman Presidency? There are so many other things to worry about than whether Romney is going to legalize polygamy. I'd think the economy, the ongoing wars on ideas (war on terror, war on drugs, war on schools, the war on science), the wars in the Middle East, and of course the war on women's rights are a bit more pressing than polygamy.

Mormons believe polygamy is only acceptable on very rare occasions when God authorizes it (i.e. Abraham, Issac, Jacob, etc.). Otherwise, monogamy is the rule. Because God commanded Mormons to stop practicing polygamy in 1890, Mormons believe that modern-day polygamists are acting contrary to God's will. It is not that Mormons secretly want to practice polygamy but that the law/social norms/societal pressure prevent them. Mormons sincerely are not interested in practicing polygamy, because God has said it is no longer authorized. Even in cultures where polygamy is acceptable (some Muslim countries, for example), Mormons NEVER have more than one wife.

Your questions suggests a lack of understanding of how laws are made in the USA. The president is in the executive branch of government and does not make laws. That is the responsibility of the legislative branch.

And, the whole idea is non sensical anyway as Mormons no longer practice polygamy. That was terminated in 1890. Non-Mormon offshoot groups may practice it, but Romney and Mormons do not.

LDS don't practice polygamy and it's banned by our religion now.

no we will not

I think if we did have 10 first ladies, the 100 room mansion would be able to support them.

And more than 1 person can fit on airforce 1...

Yeah something like that.

The upside is- we will all have a flat tax of 10% to pay. So most of us will pay less taxes than we do now that is a good thing.

Oh and don't forget about the green Jello salads that will become the new American favorite. It will replace Apple pie.

The last I checked, the President does not make or end laws, and Romney does not practice polygamy.

*yawn*

If this is a joke, then it is old and trite.

If it is not, then you are seriously uninformed and are one of those people that shouldn't be allowed to vote until you can prove some general knowledge of the Country, it's laws and history.

Seriously, these questions are answered in 5th grade history and social studies classes.

You've been watching too much Big Love. Romney isn't from one of the compounds - he is just Mormon. Anyway, even if he is elected President (which seems unlikely) he alone cannot institute new laws. It's why we have the Senate and Congress - you know, for balance. LOL

To all of your questions: No.

Please I beg of you, go to mormon.com or lds.org. Heck, I'd even settle for an anti site at this point, but your lack of any knowledge whatsoever of us and our beliefs is maddening. While the anti sites are infuriating, at least they usually have a grain of truth, your knowledge must have come off the back of an empty box of Lucky Charms.
