That means Jesus was brought up in the jewish faith.
If God saw fit to put Jesus in mary who was Jewish doesnt that mean that he wanted Jesus to be jewish too?
If this is the case then i would think that being jewish not christian would be the correct faith to follow.
What do you think.

After all, he is supposedly "the Alpha and the Omega" AND "the Beginning and the End". His second coming is rumoured to be accompanied by wars, famine, disease and the end of the world. That sure doesnt' sound like "turning the other cheek".

I really find comfort in hearing about the life of Buddha. He seems to have been right on so many issues.

What about you? What do you think of the Buddha?

You can tell us atheists were going to Hell for all eternity if we can keep reminding you that your belief in God is delusional.

Seems fair ...?

Muslims are looking for the return of the Mahdi who will unite the world under an Islamic government, rule for seven years, and kill those who don't believe in Mohammed.

Christians are expecting the appearance of the Anti-Christ who will unite the nations of the world, rule for seven years, and kill the Christian believers.

Same person?

Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth, the Christ Mass. This celebration was moved to December 25th in the fourth century to compete with and absorb the pagan ritual of Yule, a move that was both religious and political. If Christians celebrate Christmas on the same day pagan's once celebrated Yule, in what way is my celebration of Christ a pagan event?

Has Kwanzaa "stolen" Christmas? Days don't belong to anyone.

Is he the wolf in sheeps clothing? He fits the description of a non-Christian looking to become the leader of the free world. Is this the Antichrist as predicted in book of Daniel and Revelations. Do you think he could be the Anti-Christ? If so, what should we saints do?

Said to be an instant classic. This movie is all the rave
right now. And rather controversial too. It is written by
a man, who was said to be an Atheist. The story is this....
to try and thwart out good, for evil. On top of everything
else, the plot, is to destroy The Almighty, which is just
wrong. It has a twisted sense of morality, and is
sending a terrible message to kids all over the world.
Along with excessive violence, and crafts. This movie
looks incredible, to be honest with you. Amazing
visuals, and special effects. Awesome setting, and
a cast of decent actors. Like I said though, the message
in the film is not right. It is Anti Christ. Like the Davinci
Code..... So are you going to see this ? And are Atheists
in favor, I should say, of the movie, The Golden Compass ?
Best answer wins.

For men, If some one rapes your wife/sister/fiancee/any close relative. And the culprit is caught. You are made a judge, you have freedom to punish him however you want. What will be you punishment to him?

in tone? I often see "questions" and answers that imply that all atheists (or believers for that matter) are insulting and don't really answer questions. When I look at the responses that inspire these complaints I see that the people criticized have been baited and that serious responses are almost impossible. Is it possible to ask serious questions that inspire dialog without implying that the person you disagree with is an idiot, heathen, sinner, etc etc? In my opinion this would be more constructive.

I have a friend who like me is a teacher. She had a very horrible childhood. Her mother was a drug addict and her father was not around. Her parents had 3 children. She is only 25 and the oldest of the 3 siblings. She put herself through school and help to raise the other 2. The youngest is only 16. They have different fathers, but the same mother. Well the 16 year old had been living with his father and the father's prostitute girlfriend. He had been living in squalor unbeknownst to his sister whom he visited and painted a lovely picture. Each time the sister gave him gifts or food to take home. The father's girlfriend would steal from him and sell the food or clothing for drugs. He never told his sister about this. Until it was too late. This young man took the law into his own hands and killed the girlfriend of his father and is now about to be tried as an adult. This boy had never commited a crime, but his life had been a crime. The family is asking for prayers that

Islam is the most violent and intolerant faith that has ever been presented to mankind. example of the insanity found within the Koran is the fascist, warlike notion of "Jihad," or Holy War.

Islamic ideology is based upon an intense hatred of the non-Muslim. It has divided humankind into two perpetually hostile groups... the Muslims and the non-Muslims.

Why should anyone else like Atheists, Jews, Mormons, Buddhists etc, be allowed to celebrate a Christian holiday? He's our Jesus, why should they get to enjoy his birthday too.

From aboriginal Australians to tribal Africans to American Indians to ancient Egyptians . . . they've all created gods prolifically and with ease. That man creates gods is a well-known, indisputable fact.

But what about the opposite? God creating man? We DON'T know that he did. We have no evidence that he did. We have no reason to think that he did. All the evidence points to evolution over the course of billions of years. There's growing evidence that life originated from abiogenesis -- from an electro-chemical reaction in the primordial soup of early Earth.

So, with countless thousands of gods to man's credit, believers are in the untenable position of asserting that all the gods that came before and after theirs are false . . . but their own god (and religion) is real and true. Asserting that one's own god is real, when we know that man created all the others, is ridiculous. It is so unlikely that we can safely consider it delusional.

How do you rationalize your god/religion?

The fossil record is the set of data on which the theory of evolution is based. There are gaps in the fossil record.

When creationists say that evolution has gaps do they really mean the fossil record has gaps?

If I'm wrong and they mean that the theory of evolution has gaps, where are those gaps?

(I'm not trying to attack anybody, I just think the terminology should be clarified for the sake of clarifying the debate as a whole.)
