People, people.. Tsk tsk...
Your arguments of temperature regulation for sperm production being the reason why the testicles are outside the body IS NOT the point!
Like the asker said: IF god is so clever, he could have devised a different system. Since "god" can do anything, why not just make the regular body temperature the ideal for sperm production?
You do see the point in the question now, don't you?
EDIT
Hehe, thanks.
Take a look at my recently updated profile. Your question is answered there ;)

Well, not that I believe "God" designed it, but for someone who has studied human anatomy, I find the human machine to be a marvel considering how all of it's systems work together. Testicles on the outside serve a definite purpose as some of the other posters have mentioned. The only problem I have is why the heck can't we scratch our own backs? Is that to ensure that we need each other, being the social animals we are?

For temperature control. Perfect design. Go back to basic biology, will ya.
LOL! you and your girlfriend eye are so clever. NOT! Aquatic animals including mammals and water fowl have em inside to stay. They were designed that way. Man can move from land to water and needs to have the ability to regulate the temp. Perfect design.
Evolution if it even existed and was perfect as you think it is would have gotten this seemingly simple matter solved, but it could not.
Give it up fellas and admit it that intelligent design is where its at.

What's wrong with that?
Sperms are affected by heat, they need a lower temperature than the average 37.5 degrees Celsius core temperature of the human body. Hence the testicles are outside.

Sperm dies if it gets too hot. If you notice when you are cold "things" pull up to be close to the body, when you are hot they move away. It is all done for temperature control. If a testicle fails to descend the patient can be sterile.

God didn't but evolution did... and they're outside the body because they might overheat if inside the body. That's the reason the move closer when they get cold.

because men are supposed to take care of them, for the case in animals who have inward testicles ,like fish and beavers and whales, they aren't able to protect themselves in water from other predators.
