Sin is a man-made concept invented to instill fear and exercise control over others.

why or why not? if all the selfish evil things people do is not sin what is it then? We all need medication because it's all a disease? How else do you explain man's fallen, sinful nature that can only be helped through Jesus? I have my own thoughts I would like to hear yours.

I converted to Christianity about two years ago and I am not very convinced, not only with this religion but any religion now. Somehow now every religion seems man-made to me and that there's nothing Godly about it. I was of another religion, then I legally converted to this, but now I don't want it. Is it possible to get out of it legally?

Consider this passage:

John 2:13-16"The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple he found people selling cattle, sheep, and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables. Making a whip of cords, he drove all of them out of the temple, both the sheep and the cattle. He also poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. He told those who were selling the doves, "Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father's house a marketplace!"

Obviously, Jesus seems to have had some serious issues with his anger management. It may not be a huge sin, but it still a flaw of character which should be treated.

Has it always been like this? Did you have a bad experience as a child with a religion? What made you decide?
Just curious. : )

Well, if Newton's Third Law says that "For EVERY action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.", then how does the entire scientific world make this one exception for gravity? And if matter is the "force" keeping you from falling, could it be possible that gravity is caused by antimatter?

I'm putting this in a religious forum to get some different kinds of feedback. I am trying to either perfect this theory, or disprove it myself.

I am talking about gravity not gravitation. I dont agree with einsteins general relativity theory about matter going through the space-time continuum in order to create gravity, but gravity has to have an opposing force, the normal force in generally accepted as what stops you from falling further, but matter also can give you lift if you have enough thrust (because the wing cuts the air in half, causing 2 different coefficients of pressure, but even then with airplanes attaining lift, this is not a pure counterforce.

The theory I am talking about deals with matter, antimatter, and the origin of gravity and the beginnings of the earth.

Matter= Regular atoms
Antimatter= Atoms with negatively charged protrons and positively charged electrons. (opposite charges)

In my family, Christmas is a very religious holiday. My children pray every night, and we save up our money all year so that we can buy as many gifts for ourselves and our friends as possible.
The neighbors next door say that they do not believe in Santa Claus, and yet they still put up a tree and hand out presents. This just seems wrong to me. This holiday was not intended to be enjoyed by people who are not celebrating the birth of Saint Nicolas.
The neighbor children are often at our house after school to play. If they continue to spread their non-believing attitudes to my children, I'm afraid I'll have to ask them to stop coming. Is it wrong for me to sit them down and tell them about the birth of Santa, the 8 reindeer, and the true meaning of Christmas?

Why is it that we have schools especially for certain religions etc, i mean why ake a seperation? isnt it just leading to trouble and a division of beliefs and people? there are schools and colleges near here where i cannot attend because i am not catholic, and there are schools especially for muslims. Why is this? i mean the obvious thing is religion and i agree that there are differences in belief but doesnt this just cause hatred? It means that you end up growing up and being friends with "your own kind"

Jesus’ teachings touched on a vast array of subjects. The valuable lessons they convey can affect every aspect of your life. How has Jesus' teachings about setting priorities in life (Matthew 6:25-33), cultivating friendship with God (John 17:3), establishing good relationships with others (Matthew 18:23-35) , solving problems (Matthew 5:21, 22, 27-29), and refraining from acts of violence (Matthew 26:52; John 18:36 ) influenced your views and/or life?
