Jesus' Sermon on the Mount certainly helps me to remain calm in the face of economic difficulties and trust God to bless my efforts to provide for my physical needs while I put spiritual matters first in my life. This in turn draws me closer to God as I beseech him and witness his answers to my prayers.
I am aware of my own shortcomings and need for God's forgiveness, so I am more tolerant of the shortcomings of others and am ready to forgive them as God does me. I have come to understand committing a sin does not begin with the act itself but the thought, the desire, so it is important to guard ones heart and thinking processes to avoid the problem. Following Jesus' teaching and example on peace and refraining from the conflicts of this world has prevented my becoming enraged at the injustices of this system of things to the point violently rebelling against it or participating in any way in the wars of the nations.
Jesus' teachings are beautiful, simple, and powerful. We can all benefit from being acquainted with his teachings and putting them into practice.

Some people crack me up. Why did these people answer this question with stupidity? Why not just skip over it if you dont believe? Did he say I use my own mind? Im pretty sure that Bay usues her own mind as well, and if believing in Jesus brings kindness and goodwill upon you then why hate the person that believes? There will be no harm brought upon you by christianity so therefore I say. If not believing begins with ignorance, I would rather believe.

honestly, Jesus did no longer make lots of an effect himself; yet he had a hell of a PR agent - Paul. PAUL became into the only that preached Jesus to the Gentiles; considering the fact that they did no longer recognize the Torah to dispute Paul's teachings, they took the bait, and a "messiah" became into born. btw - that's the "Sistine" chapel.

I have to leave for work in about an hour. It would take me all week to answer this question. Maybe longer, considering all that's involved with answering it.

Lots.

Even though Jesus Christ is a fictional character, whether or not it was loosely based on any real person, the concept of Jesus Christ has spurred a world-wide religion that has done much harm in this world. It has caused lots of torture, killing, repression of progress, intolerance, bigotry, and many more social ills. It has falsely taught us that our bodies are to be covered in shame. It has falsely taught us that humans are, by nature, evil and shameful creatures. It has pushed idiotic claims even in the face of scientific evidence. It has been used to get people to vote, as a bloc, for bad leaders.

So, yes, Jesus Christ has influenced me. It has taught me how superstitious beliefs, closely held, can cause so much harm to the world.

he who is without sin cast the first stone; how can you see the speck in your neighbor's eye when you can't see the log in your own; it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than a rich man get into heaven; I am the way the truth and the light , no one gets to the father except through the son;Father forgive them for they know not what they do
