If so, where and what are your limits? If not, do you think that God even cares?

P.S. I targeted my question towards Christians, but you of other religions are obviously welcome to answer too.

is a creator of life and so are women. "He" gave the gift of creation to women, not men. That is a pretty significant gift to be given to what is supposed to be the least Godlike gender. Even if God does indeed have male genitals, (most Christians I've asked say they do not think "He" does), being a creator is what makes God so powerful and perhaps that is why the male dominant society that wrote the Bible did their best to subjugate their women: They were afraid of the control women have over the reproductive process.

I think it makes a lot more logical sense to see the creator of all life as a female, since it is almost always the female of most species of animals who brings new life into the world. Yes, I know that guys contribute (for about 20 seconds, give or take) but until I see a pregnant man, my feelings on this are unlikely to change.

I am still amazed at ...

The people that still don't get this fact...

The heart and soul of a person is what is beauty...

Not how or where they live....

Not what there family or friends do.....

Not what they look like.....

Or how much they weigh...

There words are not a sign of intelegance....

I have meet many educated idiots....

Their choices are just lesons to be learned...

Their trials are strength builders...

A person that still has compasion....

After being treated badly or used....

Is beautiful....

A person that still loves...

After having there heart ripped out ...

Is beautiful....

A person that has lost everything.....

And can still offer to help others ....

And give of themself...

Is beautiful......

A person who's life has fallen apart...

For what ever reason....

Be it choices they made....

Or things that are beond their control....

If they stand back up and face the world ...

They are beautiful...

I consider myself Christian, and frankly I've been embarrassed by some of the responses posted by some "Christian" believers in this forum. Some have the tendancy to become argumentative, contentious, heated, and resort to petty name calling.

If anyone has gotten a response from me that sounded in any way like that I sincerely apologize.

But doesn't the previous statement go against the very foundatians of Christian belief (i.e.: Love thy neighbor as thyself, blessed are the peacemakers, etc.)? If so, does the Christian who engages in contentious, blatantly argumentative behavior prove themselves as actually being unchristian?

I personally believe that he could be, just look at the mircles that he did while here. Some Pagans call that magick. I do believe in God, the Holy Spirit but I also believe in a Goddess, who's to say that Jesus isn't the son of the God and the Goddess? Let me know what you think. The Bible says that the mircles the Jesus did we would do and greater still... mircles or magick?

i am atheist, sometime i think is it too cruel for us to tell christian about the truth of death, people don't believe God out of fun, they believe it so they can feel some hope after death, why should we take that away from them?

Isn't this one thing that unites religion and non-religion?

Hypocrisy?

That part of human nature that is like a self-destruct button for the overly self-righteous.

Not all believers are followers of Christ(christians). Satan and his followers believe and know the truth, does this make his crew a religious group?

puzzled!!!!
I have been strickly religious for a very long time where i learned to love only God, and the way i feel about humans is that i do good to them and i have alot of compassion to a degree that i feel that i am that person, but i dont have love. i dont feel towards my aunt or close friend any different than i feel towards a stranger. whether a person is good or bad doesnt make the love any different, its only that if one is good im happy for him./her if they are bad i am disgusted but i still understand their situation. i have a very wonderful man in my life who deeply loves me and treats me the best any woman could wish for, but i cant love him as he loves me pasionately. i love him in that way as a husband, but its not a burning desire and i dont have such feelings for any man and i havent had them for years. i dont know if this is because my heart was only commanded and filled by the love for God, or is this how God intended for us to feel, only for him??? or am i wrong

I call them ''seasonal Muslims'' in lack of a better term, but I'm sure you get the meaning. Here's one example (and 80% of Muslims in my country are like that): I have a co-worker who is Muslim and who doesn't drink alcohol during Ramazan (please understand that Muslims in my country are not practising ones) but he gets drunk for Eid and parties for 3 days.

I know that alcohol is forbidden in Islam - completely. He knows that too. I'm not trying to make you judge his actions. My question would be - between those two ''evils'' which one is more hypocritical? I mean if he can refrain himself from drinking for 30 days, why not respect those 3 days of Eid and remain sober? I just don't get it.

By the way, Eid Mubarak in advance! :) Hope you enjoy it with your loved ones.

I have the impression you are clever, well educated, independent, successfull, with a (slight) feminist streak and leftist and/or libertarian leanings.

Is there some correlation with verifiable reality, or am I just tuning in to a fundamentalist nightmare?
