Ok, I am talking about The Golden Compass. For some reason, anytime anything comes out depicting magic, witchcraft, or a church that lies and hides the truth, the churches nut out and think that it's going to spark some enormous movement against religion? (Harry Potter, The Da Vinci Code, and now The Golden Compass) I mean, it's sience fiction and the churches just oppose it like the very depthsof hell are rising up against them. What is the big f()ckin deal here? They're just stories. The Golden Compass doesn't depict killing god. The trilogy spawning from the Golden Compass uses symbolism (Just like any other story does) and leads up to the killing of original sin in the last book. It's not bad at all, and in fact, the last book of the trilogy, called "The Amber Spyglass" where people are saying they do "kill god", was nominated for an award because it was a great childrens book. It's just a story christians, You've been here for 2000 years, I don't think a story will kill you.
