English in England is slightly different.

Why is my use of English spelling so offensive?

My opinion is that the causes are; in no particular order:
1) The Supreme Court decision Roe v Wade, because when one life is cheapened, all life is worth less.
2) Madeline Murray O'Hare getting prayer out of school. We have had this now for 30+ years. Are we happy as a society with the results?
3) Overall glorification of violence in movies and media.
4) Removal of the Ten Commandments from the classroom wall. They haven't been replaced with anything better, so everyone is doing what seems right to themselves. Absolute morality has been replaced with relative morality.
5) The ACLU which fights for anything perverse and nothing decent.
6) Removal of or unrealistic delays to Capital Punishment. See Ecclesiates 8:11 Because an evil deed goes unpunished, the hearts of men are fully set to do evil.

I jugt got an E-mail telling me that Catholicism is wrong, the Pope is the greatest deceiver of all men, that I'm an idolator, and the GREAT Christian that told me this we just so when I was being judged I wouldn't have an excuse to give to Jesus...

Isn't that so humble and loving of them?

Anyway, my question is "Why did I get an email about how Catholcism is all wrong when I've never been Catholic, nor do I claim to be?"

This is a serious question, and I mean no disrespect to you, your prophet (peace be upon him), or your religion. But some governments in the Muslim world do things that we in the West don't quite understand -- like jail a woman for naming a teddy bear after Mohamed (peace be upon him). In the West, many of us have a live and let live attitude with regard to religion. We do our own thing, you do yours, and everyone is free to believe what they want, although we do debate it vigorously.

So, my question is -- would any of you support a government that supported freedom of religion for non-Muslims, a woman's right to choose to wear or not wear the burkah, and more leniency for those may have offended your religion without intending to?

Please, respectful answers only. I ask this in the spirit of wanting to understand you, and in peaceful co-existence.

Thank you. And Happy Eid.

Do you like Tarot? Astrology? Scrying? Dream work? The Pendulum? The Planchette? Something else, specific to your tradition, such as the Runes?

This question is specifically for those who use Divination, and approve of it. Please, no Christian posts of Bible quotes condemning Divination -- I've already read it, and am well aware of what it says. And please, no quotes from Atheists telling me it's just a game/fantasy/insanity/delusion/all in my head -- duh. But just because the information gathered may be completely internal in origin, doesn't make it any less valuable. There are great psychological and spiritual benefits to self knowledge, and divination is a useful tool for insight into the self.

So, helpful and respectful answers only please.

what steps do you have to take. I read the bible and it states that in order for us to be saved we have to be repent our sins and be baptised, or we will not see the kingdom of God. but why do most religons say that you dont have to be baptised? that its just tradition, arent they falling away from what was written?

People who are mormon: What would you do if you found out you were wrong?

Now, don't go saying "Oh! Those mormon's, they are bad, they are a cult, blah, blah, blah." We've all heard it before. I just want to know what you'd do/say if you found out they were right, or if you found out you were wrong.

why do you choose jesus over Zeus or Ra or Odin?

if you're honest there really isn't that much difference. apples and oranges.
maybe you could take turns in which god to worship, just so none of them feel left out.
thx

Anyone is welcome to answer! The more the merrier.

But my question is, what are the religious grounds that stem cell research is bad? I mean, this research can save millions of people. By denying it, aren't you essentially killing people? Think of babies and adults alike you could save! What is so bad about using the umbilical cord blood. I mean, it's just thrown out anyway to be turned to dust.
