I firmly believe & trust in the Scriptures as 100% accurate and Holy Spirit inspired......there's no question about that in my mind. But my question is really about what Peter & Paul were unctioned to say in their letters about the Scriptures:
2 Peter 1:20-21 “Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”
Do you think that Peter & Paul realized the eternal scope of what they said? The only Scriptures they had at this point was the Pentateuch, Isaiah, some of the writings of the prophets, and the letters that were being distributed throughout the NT church.
Your thoughts.
Thanks,
Primo
