Dear Rocher we Hindus give great respect to the faith of others and love to brothers and sisters of other religions. There is one thing to be agreed that fanaticism is not a part of any religious philosophy and that God or Allah is one and same for you or me or someone else. Through this religion Allah guides us and his love is equal his kids to all irrespective of what sect etc they belong to.
The true path is Allah /God himself and he is the religion himself. So we hindus respect the faith of others but we expect the same in return :)
hindus are known for thier love and brotherhood ; I can assure that if there is any community on ya that ppl of other faiths get hardly or seldom any problem from its the hindus.have a nice day

RoChEr , freedom of speech is not a god ITS A GOD given right only their is a difference young lady!! we are creteated with certain unailable rights the makers of our constitution admitted to when making this country.
unfortuaniately it soon will be a thing of the past too because folks forget who their creator is and thus the freedoms that once were born out of love and respect for HIM are soon dictated to by goverment that it is offensive,,
yes i believe in respecting free choice. their is a pennalty though for choosing to do as we choose and not follow the path set by the creator,,
u can agree to disagree and live sepperate but not live together, for if u and i cant agree how then could we ever choose to walk with oneanother without disagreeing?? logically speaking it is impossible! i dont have to agree with your decisions and still respect you, to a degree. ,
can a wife repect her husband if he beats her or the children continually with no remorse or sorrow ? think about it !! bro murray

It is a combination of both true and false. Some people can live by that statement while others can't. For me the statement is true.

It seems there are examples of it being false all the time in the news. If I disagree with someone about something I still respect them (unless they do something that makes me lose respect for them).

TRUE, all religions teach us to respect each other no matter what our beliefs are, and those who do not respect others religious beliefs are Heathens and non believers. Respect for others is part of being a Human being i.e Humanity, and if someone doesn't has humanity, your guess is as good as mine :o)
Without respect there is nothing absolutely nothing.

Take Care and God Bless you my friend for putting up such a good question. Bravo.

I'd like to believe that the answer is true, but sometimes it just seems like it will never be. I guess all wwe can do is keeping hoping and praying.

True but it doesn't always have to be in religion, it could also be in other things too.

Christians have their fundies, and Atheists have there militants. Its will be a great task for them to to agree on anything let alone respect each other.
