I jugt got an E-mail telling me that Catholicism is wrong, the Pope is the greatest deceiver of all men, that I'm an idolator, and the GREAT Christian that told me this we just so when I was being judged I wouldn't have an excuse to give to Jesus...

Isn't that so humble and loving of them?

Anyway, my question is "Why did I get an email about how Catholcism is all wrong when I've never been Catholic, nor do I claim to be?"

No, it was only to me, but another user. they said:

"Sorry about Bush. I will not argue about Catholisism. Nobody is as blind as those who will not see. One question only. Since when is idolatry a christian practice? I am telling you that Catholisism and the pope is the greatest deceiver of men. I told you so you will not have an excuse of saying "I did not know" when God asks you."

WHAT IS SHE TALKING ABOUT??

Only an ignorant jerk would be too ignorant to know that Peter Priesthood is a mormonism. And no, I mean that like, Bushism or whateve.

My guess is that the "priesthood" part of your nickname caused the person to do what such folks normally do: Jump to an uninformed and biased conclusion. She's probably completely unaware that there is a Mormon priesthood (of an entirely different nature than that of the Catholic Church) -- although I have no idea how she managed to miss that you're LDS in your profile in her haste to get to your e-mail.

Hmm. Now why would anyone think "Peter Priesthood" might be Catholic?
Don't worry too much anyway, they can't actually MAKE you a catholic just by calling you one. Its not like that voudon thing with the datura and the cockerel feathers.

Your name has both ''Peter'' (St. Peter was the first pope, according to our Roman brethren) and "Priest'' in it. I have a feeling that's why you got the letter, though she sounds like she has no clue what she's talking about.

Dashes- I won that thing like thirteen times already. And the English one, and the Iraqi one, and the one from Nairobi...

...and still I'm poor.

the catholic church was founded in 333ad and the other sunday going churches sprung up leading off from the catholic church. people these days are learning this and trying to show others the truth, but some in doing so go to far and aren't sure how to go about it. so they do the best they can. in a lot of cases they turn people away instead of getting the point across. we should always do and say with loving, and kindness. not harshness.

They may be recruiting people against Catholicism and caught you in the way because they didn't know your religion
