People who aren't mormon: What would you do if you found out that the mormon's were right all along?

People who are mormon: What would you do if you found out you were wrong?

Now, don't go saying "Oh! Those mormon's, they are bad, they are a cult, blah, blah, blah." We've all heard it before. I just want to know what you'd do/say if you found out they were right, or if you found out you were wrong.

So... if basic Christianity were right, but the specifics of Mormonism were wrong......

Well, if God were really that petty- that He would eternally damn me simply because I didn't believe in the Trinity,... or because I tried to express my belief through works,... or because I wanted more of His word,...

I'd rather be in hell.... which is fine, because that's probably where I'd end up... along with all the other Mormons.

Excellent question. I have thought this over quite a bit. According to my LDS friends if I don't except the doctorine be babtised and become mormon then I end up in the "Telestrial kingdome" I'm not sure if i spelled that right but its something like that. According to mormons that is heaven, Its not the Celestrial Kingdom but its heaven. You get to be in the presence of Jesus and the Holy spirit. You don't get to be married to your earthly wife nor be able to have kids or become God like. So for me personally if mormons did happen to be right I could live with it. Its pretty much the heaven that I believe in. The only difference being that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all the same being. I feel sorry for the mormon women who have to live with constant morning sickness forever and all eternity though. Good luck with that if the mormons are right.

I am a Mormon and if i found out that what i believe in is all wrong then i'd be so confused because it just seems unbelievable! I'm not saying that to look good or anything But im saying it because i love my belief so much and i know it is true.
Well what can i say, no one can really say its wrong or right but one day we will all know =)
Interesting question ! =)

If I found out I was wrong...then I guess I could go to Hell?? I dunno...

My heart is in the right place, following Jesus. My church ay be different, but no one can prove it right or wrong until we die and learn the truth. If I die, and the LDS church is wrong, then I still have faith that Jesus would take mercy on me since I did everything the bible says to do at the best of my ability.

Diane, this is not even close to Pascal's wager. Pascal said "why not believe, just in case"(basically) This is asking what would you do if you died and found out you were wrong. She is just wanting to know what you would do. she isn't telling you to believe just in case.

If the Mormon's are right and that is heaven and God I would rather be in hell, (oops, sorry outer darkness) so no worries.

If then Mormons are wrong then God IS loving and merciful on all his children and they will be forgiven. (except those that lie about other religions, not naming any names above me)

So either way, like the original Pascal's wager, no worries. It is a false dilemma.

There's no way of knowing till long after you're dead, so there's really no opportunity to report my words on the subject at that point! Everyone is right because no one can prove otherwise..... priceless!

If the Mormons are right, I guess I'd have to get me some new underwear... I could use some anyway.

It doesn't matter if they are right. Once you die, someone will get baptized in your name, so you will be able to become Mormon even after you die.
