What causes young people to randomly shoot people they don't even know? Then take their own lives?

My opinion is that the causes are; in no particular order:
1) The Supreme Court decision Roe v Wade, because when one life is cheapened, all life is worth less.
2) Madeline Murray O'Hare getting prayer out of school. We have had this now for 30+ years. Are we happy as a society with the results?
3) Overall glorification of violence in movies and media.
4) Removal of the Ten Commandments from the classroom wall. They haven't been replaced with anything better, so everyone is doing what seems right to themselves. Absolute morality has been replaced with relative morality.
5) The ACLU which fights for anything perverse and nothing decent.
6) Removal of or unrealistic delays to Capital Punishment. See Ecclesiates 8:11 Because an evil deed goes unpunished, the hearts of men are fully set to do evil.

i agree with you!!!!!!!!!! also they have taken away the right to punish your child (no slapping) come on already. the kids today need a good clop along side the head when needed. the kids today are running the parents. my child is grown, i did smack her around when she got out of hand. she is a well behaved adult, with respect for people. alot of kids today do not have that. and the tv crap today, our country is going to hell in a hand basket!!!!!!!!!!! i'm only 52, and the last 20yrs, especially has gone downhill, i don't believe we can ever change it. seems most people don't give a damn. the kids learn from their parents, these parents are not parents, they want to be friends with their kids, no-way. be a parent, a person can be a friend with their kids when they are all grown up.

They have a mental disease, often schizophrenia.
Instead of being sent for treatment to a psychiatrist, their symptoms are ignored, or worse encouraged by uneducated parents.

The early symptoms of schizophrenia are : believing that invisible things are around you, watching you, listening to you and influencing your life. Delusions, irrational and illogical reasoning etc...

I am not sure why they do that, but i wish that they would just take their own lives & leave the innocent people alone, just because one person is depressed & doesn't want to live anymore, doesn't mean that those other people wanted to die also. They have families that they had to leave behind because of one persons stupid mistake.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said. When we had prayer in schools and the 10 Commandments and capital punishment in schools children obeyed their elders and didn't mouth off to their parents, teachers or authority. They didn't skip school, cut class, deal drugs in the locker rooms, have sex in empty classrooms, the girls didn't dress like $2.00 prostitutes, boys didn't wear their pants down to their knees, kids were taught to obey their elders and fear God, they didn't slack off on their homework, they didn't goof off in class, did their homework and turned it in on time, etc. I also think it might have to do with lack of the mother being in the home raising her children and the fact that the schools allow bullying of children who have Speech problems, Learning disabilities, and physical/mental developmental problems and the fact that this bullying causes depression in the kids which causes them to turn to gangs, sex, alcohol, violence, smoking, and drugs.
