Judging by the gory stories in the Bible and all its outright contradictions the OT was written by the Jewish clergy to control the Jews and the NT was written mostly by Saint Paul who was an unrepentant murderer of the followers of Jesus Christ... He never provided any reparation for the widows that he left behind, but he restricted the church from helping any widow under 60 years of age that he left behind...!!! Nothing much different from the immoral clergy of today!

Well lots of people, billions really believe it so it must be true. On the other hands billions of flies eat poop and I wouldn't do that so maybe that logic is somewhat skewed, to each his own I guess. I wonder if flies believe god inspired the Bible?

Because it is scripture and tradition in ALL religions have held that scripture writing is inspired by the god it was written about. So heresay and no evidence.
Stop with the evidence thing asking someone to "prove" a matter of faith is made stupid by the sheer definition of faith. Everyone who does this prove or disprove on anything needs to grow up and learn how to discuss things.

The BIBLE is the WORD of GOD written by men who were inspired by GOD.
The evidence is written inside of the covers of the Bible.

None whatsoever.
In fact the same logic that is used to say this is the same that allows me to say that Frodo exists because he's in the Lord of the Rings. One fantasy novel, after all, is as real as the next, right?

Apparently some dude in robes stood on a mountain and claimed god spoke to him and given him tablets.
I bet he was caught masturbating and had to think of some reason why he was up there -- Quick!
