What gets me is how you HATE being preached at, but will turn around and preach hate and intolerance against Christians and other theists because (supposedly) we're a buinch of murderous hate-mongers who do nothing but shove our religion down people's throats. If you care so much about people not being indoctrinated, why don't you let them come to their own conclusions instead of trying to brainwash them into thinking that. if they don't believe that it is an absolute fact that God doesn't exist, they're mindless idiots? After all, isn't that the very attitude that you hate being directed at you by Christians who try to turn you into a Christian?

Here's the deal I will convert to your religion if your prayers can make this happen
I win todays loto 649 jackpot I have already bought a ticket (I do it for fun)

According to you , your religion is the one true religion
If your God can make this happen then I will truly convert
if I dont win the lottery than I will remain a witch as my
religion has already proven it self.

Are you up for the challenge?
If so then get praying.

Do you realize what time is actually based upon? Did you know that the study of the basis of Time alone can prove that the bible is nothing but a tale based upon the Sun and the Zodiac?

I've heard so many people shoot down the idea but I'm very spiritual. I have to say, I've always been very intact with my heart and I do believe in it. I just think there is more to it then what people like to shoot down. What do you all think?

I am not a Church goer, but I do remember the days when churches and chapels were relatively full. Whether or not the Christ we were tought to believe in can stand todays micro scrutiny I do remember there was something quite special and fulfilling to be had from participating in worship and song with full congrigation in the echo of a church. Also over the centuries the Church was the source of comfort to many, and has served to raise many a heavy heart. Will I ever start going to church again? - Probably not, it's not the same somehow.

I mean, if you saved Jesus from his crucifixion would there be a Christianity religion today? Would you actually benefit the Christian religion since people like Mel Gibson, who focus more on the death and medieval sh-t would be irrelevant? Would you hurt the Christian religion since Jesus would not be a martyr and would not have raised from the dead and all that other stuff that some guy named King James said happened? What would modern day Christianity look like if the philosophy of love and peace of Jesus was focused on more than the death and torture of Jesus? Or is there already examples of Christian religion sects that are already doing this?

I grew up Catholic, so I ask this question because Catholicism is kind of messed up man. I mean, even Jesus would have to question how they teach his word and philosophy.
Please answer this question with logic and reason, but of course including your own personal religious beliefs.

Thanks

This is for those of you who are Christians. If you're not don't bother answering. Don't be rude, and respect my wishes. I'm not mindless, I simply believe differently. I wish you the best.

For those of you who are Christians I was reading and watching some comments from other Christians on random issues. I found a random comment that says Sin hurts God. We hurt God? That kinda caught me off guard. Is that right? ( and please use scripture.) Sin separates us from God, and I understand that. But I've heard people say this a lot. I even remember a song that says, " does he still feel the nails every time I fail".

Personally, my current opinion is that, that is hog wash. Sin hurts us. If Jesus already died and took our sins and returned victorious then why would he "feel the nails" again? Isn't that like Moses hitting the rock twice? And, isn't more blatant that God hates sin, so sin angers him (not hurts him). BUT I could be wrong.

Why do people without real science backgrounds try to prove or disprove evolution....creation of the universe....etc.

I feel like most people with "strong opinions" just read some 3-page pamphlet or are banking on highschool science.
