I mean, if you saved Jesus from his crucifixion would there be a Christianity religion today? Would you actually benefit the Christian religion since people like Mel Gibson, who focus more on the death and medieval sh-t would be irrelevant? Would you hurt the Christian religion since Jesus would not be a martyr and would not have raised from the dead and all that other stuff that some guy named King James said happened? What would modern day Christianity look like if the philosophy of love and peace of Jesus was focused on more than the death and torture of Jesus? Or is there already examples of Christian religion sects that are already doing this?

I grew up Catholic, so I ask this question because Catholicism is kind of messed up man. I mean, even Jesus would have to question how they teach his word and philosophy.
Please answer this question with logic and reason, but of course including your own personal religious beliefs.

Thanks

Saving Jesus would present a different picture today because your religion rests on the promise of resurrection for it's believers.
The 9/11 stories of heroism can only inspire so that answers your question of whether I would save another human being or not.
Jesus's core teachings of love, peace, tolerance and doing good deeds will still be relevent for all time even if he had not died on the cross-that is what I believe. Resurrection and reincarnation mean the same thing to me.
All mainstream religions have the basic core teachings of love, peace, tolerance and doing good deeds and we will arrive at our chosen destinations if we keep to these core teachings.
Extremism therefore cannot exist if we stay with this in mind.
I'm Buddhist but was a Catholic over 30years ago. Why? Because I've always had a questioning mind and I believe that if Jesus were alive today, He'd want you to do that on top of your faith. Blind faith can be dangerous-as can be seen in the many diversive sects.
Having a healthy regard for all mainstream religions promotes a better world ultimately.
Regards, pat.

No I would not stop what happened to Jesus. Jesus died on the cross because of His love for us, not wanting any to perish. Jesus could have called 10,000 angels to deliver Him, but because of His love, He did not. One angel can destroy at least 165,000 people ,so at the very least every one in the Middle East would have been destroyed.
Every person on the face of the earth would have no hope if Jesus had said no.

i think you should study the bible with the help of a priest , then you would understand , whats written. Of course , we including you (if you are in our faith) will sacrifice and would like to help Him , but the scripture is already written , that the Messiah is going to save mankind thru His crucifixion , so even if we tried to help , it woudn`t be possible.
As a catholic yourself I`m sorry to say this but , I think you have to review and reflect , before the altar in what you just tell us in your letter. Peace be with you !

The apostles wanted the same thing...but this is what Jesus said.''

(MATTHEW 26:54) In that case, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must take place this way?”

Jesus had to die for a purpose.

His death paid for us to no longer have to suffer death.,

This will occur to the righteous after Armageddon.

no, Jesus taught us that it was for our benefit that He goes to the Father so that we would receive the Holy Spirit.
unfortunately, catholics along with many other forms of Christianity have completely forgotten about the Holy Spirit and make Christianity into nothing more than a set of rules void of the love and peace your soul is desperate for.
read your Bible and the promise of Jesus regarding the Holy Spirit and how to receive Him. i promise you, when you seek out the Holy Spirit you will find your love for God and Christ flourish as never before

I would. Yes, I know, that would probably screw up a lot of things cosmically and spiritually. But I just couldn't allow a good person to get torchured to death if I could stop it.

Christians have self belief that Jesus, after he improve into born, fled to Egypt as Harrod had delared all male toddlers be killed. while he decrease back, he began preaching his gospel and improve into finally killed on a flow. Jesus improve into between the three important mainfestations of our one and in uncomplicated terms God (the others being God "the daddy" and the Holy Spirit). Muslims have self belief that Jesus improve into in uncomplicated terms a prophet - an insignificant guy, yet with a particular connection to Alah, who revealed devine truths to him. they suspect that as a boy, Jesus and his kin fled to India, and used Egypt as their disguise tale. In India, he discovered countless meditation recommendations that would desire to enable him to look ineffective. on the flow, he faked being ineffective, and after his "ineffective" physique improve into put in a tomb, he escaped to India returned. this entire faking being ineffective ingredient is why Muslims have self belief, inspite of the indisputable fact that the Bible explicitly says "Egypt" that he improve into, in fact, in India. Whomever (interior the government. of India) wrote this documentary for sure did so with an time table to sell Islam. Did they cite their sources for the above "info"? i've got self belief that this might properly be a accident that improve into functional to knit into the tale as a fashion to sell an islamic time table.

no, Jesus Christ, the son of God ....was the only acceptable (being perfect and without sin) sacrifice to God for the forgiveness of sins, to they that receive Christ and accept him.

Because without this open door, man could not escape the judgement of God that will be poor out on the earth in the coming days...soon, very soon.

well first ask yourself have you kept Gods ten commandments
1) have you ever told a lie in your life?
2) have you ever stolen something in your life?
3) it says in Gods word that you must not murder, everyone says they have never murdered, but Jesus said murder begins in your heart so have you ever been angry and cursed someone for example, i hate you, die, idiot, fool etc ?
4) it says in Gods word you must not commit adultery, but Jesus said that whoever looks at a woman or a man to lust has commited adultery with him/her in his heart so ask yourself have you ever lusted.?
these are just 4 of the commandments, HOW DID YOU DO?
dont worry i have broken all of them. lol who hasnt told a lie etc.
Now ask yourself if God was to come back lets say tomorrow and judge you based upon his commandments knowing that you and i have broken all of them what do you think you would be innocent or guilty? if you choose innocent. think about this: like judges today in society if the judge is a Good judge wouldnt he punish murderers, rapist, pheados, liars, thieves etc well thats the same with God because God is a Good he would punish pheado, murderers, liars, rapists etc and would never allow them to enter heaven. if you know you would be guilty then you no you would also be going to hell. but let me tell a short story again imagine if theres a judge and a thief, the judge says to the thief you are guilty of your crime and going to jail but someone out of the blue came and said no i will take this Thiefs place send me to jail so that man paid the theifs fine. well thats what JESUS did we were all sentenced to hell but he paid the fine with his deaf on the cross so none of us need go to hell, all you need to do is ask for forgiveness of sins. AND YES some people think i dont want to give my life to God because i dont believe or i dont want to change my life etc but you dont know when you are going to die and if you do die lets say tomorrow you would go straight to hell and on judgement day you could never justify yourself before God because God will say i have given you a conscience and it bears witness to my ten commandment so for example you know when you tell a lie or something and you feel guilty well thats Gods ten commandments already in your heart so you are with out excuse. it say in JOHN 3,18 he who believes in him is not condemed (judged guilty) but he who does not believe is condemed already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God And this is the condemnation that the light has come into the world (jesus) and men loved darkness rather than light because there deeds were evil.(lieing,stealing,judging,murder,rap... speaking evil about others not likeing others etc) For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. but he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen.

so you can continue with your arguments on evolution, and whatever theory you may have but one thing i will say you dont need proof to know that you have sinned and on the day of wrath (anger) we will all have to give account for what we have done in the body have we used are body to glorify God and love others or ourselfs are desires, you probably will tell me oh be quite i dont believe, you christians are all the same blah blah but one think i will say lean not on your own understanding of things but in all your ways trust in God,whether you believe or not, you will still have to face God on judgement day, if i step on to a motorway when a massive truck is heading for me and i say, i dont believe in trucks my lack of belief is not going to change reality.
