Rarely do i answer questions in this way. this is very special question. Soul-mates---
yes, most people in my life have "shot down" this idea. in my opinion, these people totally GAVE UP! not only that, just cauz they were hurt in relationships, they think there is no longer such a thing! now.... i have been seriously hurt recently.....and NO i'm NOT giving up!
there HAS TO be someone out there for everyone (who of crse chooses the partnered life). each. and. every one of us! and by the way, looks dont matter. someone may not LOOK to us the way our ideal would. but sometimes there is something that "clicks" about that person. yes, it's chemistry of course. but didnt God make chemistry?
And God wants us to be happy. when we r in love (truly in love- not just infatuated) both sides have to do EVERYTHING in their power to be together. is it easy? NO....
but the things worth it in this life can be challenging. (And unlike what my ex thought, no i dont think love is challenging) this worldly, insensitive, fast-paced world sometimes forces the beautiful things in this life to become complicated.
so.... yes ..... there is ... A SOUL MATE
if u found urs, cherish each other =)

Yes I do believe.
I found my soul mate, best friend and lover in 1957. We have always been each others best friend. We are very open with each other and we, communicate. Communicate and communicate.
I will share a poem that I have framed and hung on the wall along with our marriage license and our picture.
Take my hand and walk with me,
across the sands of time;
Hand in hand and heart to heart.
Husband . . . friend of mine.
We will share the solitude.
And walk in quiet peace.
My heart hears what your heart says,
it listens when yours speaks.
We’ve shared hearts and souls as one,
in perfect harmony;
The laughter and the tears we’ve known,
Are the sweetest melody.
For years have brought us to this place.
Across the sands of time;
We’ll walk together, till the end.
Husband . . . friend of mine.
We celebrated our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary last summer. We are still very much in love. We have a sense of humor and laugh and have fun together.
Most important; we still have a great deal of respect for each other.
Best wishes to you in finding your soul mate.

People who fall in love isn't a strange, mystical phenomena. There are a million and one things that attract one person to another and hundreds of studies have been conducted into this. Its stems from matching bodily smells, to similar proportioned faces to one persons dominance and an others submissiveness. Not once in any study has there been any evidence of 'soul mates'. That is just infantile simplicity projected on to complex process's.

When two souls with lineage of strong bonds of previous births meet, clicking occur instantly. In such a case communication occurs thru eyes without a spoken word. Eyes r the gateway to soul.

I believe in people whom you hit it off with and develop life long friendships with. If you want to call that a soul mate, I suppose that is OK. Johathan and David were an example of it in the Bible. It is though, what you say, a "soul" relationship, not a spiritual one.

Soul mates are exactly that: Souls (people) who find each other. It is a rare and wonderful thing, and if you are lucky enough to find one, cherish it, for souls rarely mate for life.
Answer: Man is body, soul and spirit. God is spirit. We worship God in spirit and in truth. Spirituality has nothing to do with the mating of souls

they exist, believe me
i have found mine.
i may only be 16 but i cannot remember what i lived for, before i met her.
the first time i properly looked into her eyes, there was a very special moment, i could literally feel, see and some 6th sense perceive her soul and mine binding together. the whole world didn't exist, neither did i. all that was there was her in her beauty and i knew at that moment that we were destined to be together forever.
anyone who doesn't believe in soulmates has never experienced true love. the kind that makes you KNOW what your partner is feeling and thinking. the majority of the time it is exactly the same as what you yourself feel. and so when asked 'would you die for her?' the answer is no.
not because i value my life above hers, but because if she died, i would be stuck here on this earth in agony for the rest of my life (which i might decide to end anyway). i couldn't put her through that, so i would take that torture above giving it to her.
as far as im concerned, our relationship is more important than life. i would hope that the person who makes me choose who dies between me or her, kills us both.

No, I believe in finding people comparatively "closer" to your idea of what your soul mate is.
And then there are even some people who are celibate because they want to live that way. They would certainly tell you that they don't believe in soul mates as well.

If you believe in soul mates you would and have to believe in a previous existence before the one you have now.
