Yes and no.

Christians are born without knowledge of god and are therefore atheists. They are then indoctrinated by their parents.

People who reach adult hood and do not believe in a god - any god - not just yours - are called atheists. They are old enough to use their intelligence and not be indoctrinated.

The church is loosing membership because in this modern world the church is about egotism, money gathering and hating science and non believers.

Atheists therefore are quite capable of converting - Christians into atheists!!!!

Yes,through prayer and sacrifices.People are changing their minds all the time, for the simplest of reasons.A Catholic will leave the church because he does not like the Priest,or the colour scheme in the church is not right! Some Atheists become Christians through some miraculous intervention and some Christians become Atheists because God won't answer their requests. So they refuse to belive in Him. Of course there are many other reasons why people change their minds all the time.Free will can be a pain in the neck, sometimes.

Yeah, I mean, converting from one belief to another takes nothing more than an extended understanding. Heck, if you picked the right words, you could convince a rocket scientist that the entire universe exists inside of every single M&M in existence.

Anybody is capable of converting, or at least changing their mind regarding matters of faith. I know of several people who were once atheists, but are now religious. However, I also know even more people who were once religious, and are now staunch atheists. People change their minds sometimes. It happens.

Yes.
C.S. Lewis (who wrote The Screwtape Letters and Chronicles of Narnia) was actually an Atheist, but was converted by his friend, J.R.R. Tolkien (author of Lord of the Rings).

most definately. if i can be converted, anyone can. i use to be an atheist and a communist. i was the meanest and angriest person you could ever meet. all i would talk about is how oppressive and backward religion is. i was the last person anyone would expect to become a christian.
but now im the opposite of what i use to be. im much happier and easier to be around.

Of course. I have even met some here on R&S. Ex-atheists typically make the strongest Christians. The energy they used against God before, they now use FOR Him.

Look at the work God did in Paul.

Of course.
All Christians used to be unbelievers.

Jesus desires that none would perish, but all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Merry Christmas!

I'm an atheist and have seen both happen: conversion or deprogramming. Anything is possible like that in a human's brain.
