Try being an Atheist.
The truth is that mormons are the stupidest of Christians. Believing not only the illogical things of the bible, but believing more recent illogical things. Joseph Smith a prophet? Please. The guy had a lot of wives and slept with other men's wives. He took a lot of money from people for his own doing. When he was writing his book, he had some pages taken away, so he conviniently re-told the story but just a little bit different. He even foretold when Jesus would come back, but he was wrong... twice. And his book, my god. Jesus coming to America and Adam and Ever being American? Simply, wow.
P.S. How's your magical underwear fitting?

Lets look at being Jewish for a moment: Joseph welcomed them into eqypt, were they became slaves and had to be freed by Moses, they disobeyed God and God allowed them to be captured by their pagan enemies the persians, acouple of times and the kingdom was divided into two kingdoms and one was lost. Then the greeks and romans have ruled over israel for a time. Once some of the jews became christians, each of the disiples were killed. The remaining Jews have fought over the Holy land, with the Muslims. Then there was Hitler, who tried Genocide on them. I am not sure when Irael became a state unto themselves, I really need a Jew to help me out here. Jews are still fighting with Muslims over the site of King Solomons. temple. People are mad at Jews because they think they deny Jesus and the list goes on, and it all started in the O.T.

Mormons make the claim "Jesus Christ leads our church and only our church." We believe ours is right and others are wrong, while many other christians have the "my church is about as good as your church" attitude.
Lastly, we have a missionary effort. Other preachers don't like the size of their congregations and donations to go down. Individual preachers feel threatened by the Mormon effort, so the slander and "bear false witness" about us.

There's a big Mormon Temple near here that Mormons from all over the country come to see. It's where it got its start... what's funny is it has all these what christians would call "satanic" symbols all over it.... Upside down pentagrams, moons, all over the place... Go look up some images of the "Nauvoo Temple." Pretty hilarious... I don't believe in imaginary deities so it doesn't bother me.. I bet Motley Crue would love to visit lmao

Are you sure what people are saying is false? I don't think so. Maybe you should check what your church believes a little closer.
Over the years they have changed what they believe and then they all pretend it was always that way.
Forty years ago they never claimed they would be Gods, and never claimed polygamy was commanded by God. I have a hard time keeping up with what your religion believes.

I think some people arn't all that into Mormons because of the whole knocking on peoples doors & qouting the Bible thing. In genral people don't care much about much. If they did we would all be living in a pure utopia just makin love not war.

Isn't it interesting how personal perspective colors ones perception of reality...
Mormons are no more and no less "picked on" than others... You simply perceive that it's more as you have a personal vested interest in Mormonism...

There are not false things that people think about the Mormons. Its all true! You guys think you will become gods, you baptize yourself for the dead, you wear 'garments' magic underwear, you think that now is not the 'right' time for the gospel principle of polygamy. You believe the head of your church is a 'prophet' (who by the way never even makes predictions so I don't know why they call him a prophet). You believe that the Book of Mormon is more accurate then the bible, yet it quotes word for word the King James version of the bible (which was written in 1611, so they certainly didn't have it back in central america 2000 years ago). In your sacrement meetings, you don't drink wine, not even grape juice. It is water! In you temples you get 'sealed' to your spouse. The wife gets a secret spiritual name and if the husband doesn't call out for his wife in the afterlife, she doesn't get to join him. In order to enter the temple, you have to have a recommend from your bishop. To get that, you need to be 'worthy' of entering the temple. This creates unbelievable stress on church members, who think no matter what they do, its just not good enough, leading Utah to have one of the highest rates of mental illness and depression. That is also the theme of your twice annually conferences. At these confereneces the heads of your church get up and tell people things like, 'you need to read the Book of Mormon more', 'you need to spend more time with your family', 'you need to obey and spend your time on church callings'. Every 6 months they are told that. So no matter how much time you have spent working at your chruch, or reading your BOM, or spending time with your family. Guess what? Its NOT ENOUGH. This is another factor in the high rate of depression in Utah.

lol, try being Pagan. :)
Educate yourself on your religion to the fullest; that way we can always have an intelligent argument -- people of other religions often have issues with holding up their end of a debate because they follow blindly instead of actually knowing what they are talking about. And my "favorites" are people who have never been involved in my religion (and so know NOTHING about it), yet they love to tell others what my religion is all about. I'm sure you've run into that, too. If your religion feels right to you, you have no reason to abandon it simply because others don't agree. Scr*w them.
