Seriously..I don't think I'm going to follow their actual beliefs. But some of their practices relating to harmony and stress relief I might look into. I don't believe in that Xenu stuff and I don't really consider it a religion either. But some of their principles seem interesting.

I am an Ex Scientologist. I will not tell you what to do or not do. I recommend you see my other answer on this subject.
Go ahead and "check it out". Some of their principles are interesting and true, and can help you.THAT is the trap. once they have you in there. prepare yourself for everything to go wrong.
For example if they teach you how to handle negative people. all of a sudden you will get a lot of negative people in your life. This is not a mystical phenomenom. They will send negative people to your work, home etc. on purpose to test you.to you it will seem that these are random people coming into your life, but believe me it is all setup.
They will discover your weakness and exploit it.
p.s. i am not telling you not to go, I am just telling you what your in for. I have to still deal with these people even though I am no longer a part of them.
Also do not fear them, do not fear anything. Alot of scientologist fear psychiatry( I did). After I left I started reading psychiatry and psychology and nothing happened to me. so in reverse i would say do not fear scientology just remember to campare anything you read to other similar subjects and you will see it for what it is.

Unfortunately, the practices relating to harmony and stress relief are part and parcel of Scientology so you would not be allowed to learn them without being part of the organization.

Interesting, but really stupid. Dismissing mental illnesses kills thousands and thousands of people a year. An interesting statistic, but a very stupid move. That's only a chip off the whole block of Scientology. I wish they'd change the name, because science is pretty sweet, and Scientology is pretty NOT.

If you want a cheating guru then go for it. That guy is a cartoonist. Bogus philosopher and even joked about it himself. He took some parts of the Vedas and twisted them to fit his own idea and made a religious cult. What a crock. This world is the Cheaters and the cheated. God allows these bogus religions so people can get the cheating they are looking for. Only the sincere seekers of Truth will get The Real thing.

To become "Clear" requires years and years, giving over identity to your "mentor" and more and more money as you progress up levels.

L Ron Hubbard said if you want to be a millionaire, invent your own religion. He did. Before that he was a hack sci-fi writer.

Two thoughts:

A lot of things seem intersting and turn out to be dangerous.

Be very very careful of religions that involve service fees.

If you check in, you may not be able to check out. Better think twice.
