God's love is not unconditional. If I have to tell you this, then it sounds like you are the one who needs to be reading the Bible more thoroughly. Example: He'll love you and forgive you on the condition that you believe exactly as He wants you to and act in the manner He wants you to. Otherwise, you're flambé for all eternity. That sounds kind of conditional to me!

there is times when that behavior is probably justified. like if a army invaded your country for its own profit. if would be good to smash them up as much as you could. so when you need those emotions they are good character traits.

And many utterly religious people follow his word to the hilt by being vengeful and wrathful to people of different religions- but they are just copying what their god did to people who did not follow him- so I dont blame these people who have lost compassion and love to thier brethern of differing faiths

God says that vengeance is His. He is jealous of our love and devotion, His wrath is poured out on sin. He is also Love, truth, honest, and just among many others. His love is unconditional, He sent His Son to die and pay the penalty we each owe. Will you accept and believe this or will you ignore it?

If you think that God is only about vengeance, jealousy and wrath, you should try reading the whole story for yourself and learn about who God really is.
