The Atheist will be saved to give him another chance. The Christian is already saved, but in a different, more permanent way, so he can die without fear.

If it was a "fatal" accident then one or both have died. The only way this question makes sense is if you are talking about spiritually saved. Most religions do not save non believers for instance, if you are not catholic you cannot go to heaven so the theoretical answer is the christian will be saved. However, if there really is no God as the atheist believes, no one gets saved. They are probably both hoping they are right as they realize the end is coming.

This question only poses a problem to Christians because an atheist would save either person indiscriminately because, to an atheist, religion is not an important factor when making decisions.

Only a Christian would see this as a righteous or moral dilemma based on religious denomination where it is implied that a Christian is better than an Atheist, rather than all men/women being equal regardless of their beliefs.

Well, who was driving? (I'm assuming they were in a car) It's usually the passenger who gets it bad in a car accident.

Were they wearing seatbelts?

Were they good people when they were alive?

God doesn't have to come into play into everything. It's really up to us.

We don't have to blame anyone for the bad luck that we get.

At the same time there really isn't anyone to thank for all the good things that come our way either.

That is what I love about being an atheist.

I really didn't answer your question did I... uhm... yeah so here is my official answer:

Saved from what?

Whomever has the least amount of injury that the paramedics can stabilize the best before getting them to an emergency room. The labels of christian or atheist have no bearing on this.

Save the atheist, the Christian is already saved.

A normal rational and moral person will save the one with higher chances to live, and then do his best to save the other to, or at least to ease his pain

You need to search a deffinition of "fatal accident"

Who can be saved? The one with lesser injuries of course.

Why? Because spending time trying to save a person who is basically dead is a waste of time, especially when there is someone there who really could be saved.

Their religious affiliation has nothing to do with it.

Why to save a christian?

He's going to better place after all. Right? Inconfident?
