Why are they here bashing Him and those who believe in Him then?

If I were an atheist I wouldn't care.

If they're not angry with God how come there's so damn many of em on this religion and spirituality site, I don't believe in Leprechauns either but I'm not on the site for Irish Mythical creatures bagging them. But if I hated them I might.

Wrongly framed question. Why would any person be angry with an entity, person ,being or a situation which he believes is non existent? It would be foolish and a shear waste of emotions.Well,on the flip side,Atheists do get angry with fanatic and aggressive believers who try to push and force their faith on them and rightly so.By the way, atheists have no problem with believers who pursue their faith all by themselves.

No, I'm not angry with 'god', and I don't know what gave you the idea that I was. I don't know of many Atheists who are, that would be almost paradoxical.
I'm angry at fanatical preachers, and at the idea of god. Preachers just annoy me, and whilst god has helped shape society in a good way, the bible is outdated and is currently responsible for a number of unjust laws, which I cannot stand for.

there are a lot of people that just think that they know some things so they must know all things ; it is ego that gets in the way; they may know love , they can't see it nor touch it but know that it exists; they can see an act of love or a gesture of love, a hug , a kiss ; they may even long within their being for that feeling of love , another thing that they can't explain ; God is like love, you can't see him or touch him but he is within your very being; you see his acts of love and protection, the atmosphere, gravity, oxygen; water, food; nature's pharmacy, the beauty of a bird in flight or the beautiful colors of nature, the sounds of waves on the beach , all for protection, love and pleasure; for some it is easy to say it is not so b/c they can't explain the unexplainable therefore it is not; but then again there is love which is unexplainable ; so perhaps they don't have that either

In reply to some of the usual; If there was a God , why pain; all the pain in the world is inflicted by the actions of individuals of all sectors; cram beliefs , politicians follow their own belief once in office , otherwise they couldn't do what they do; i.e. Bush; they are not following the laws of their religion but rather are manipulating it again for power, greed and corruption, everyone has the right to vote ; to stand up for issues that you believe in this country , if you think a religious sector is doing something wrong, get involved and vote , run for office etc; the people who complain the most , actually do the least.

That's overgeneralization...But supposing that's true, these atheists your talking about; they're not really atheists. They're just people who are angry with God. Period.

(Real) atheists simply realize that the entity "God" cannot possibly exist in the way with which "God" is defined--so they drop the concept from their lives. It's not about being angry at all.

"Atheists" who are angry with God usually return to religion once their lives get better. So, and this is the funny part, all these people really have to do is have faith.

Ironic, yes?

If they are actually angry at a God then they aren't really atheist but rather disgruntled theists. You may be confusing anger over the "concept" of God some religious texts and beliefs hold with anger at an actual God.

When I was an atheist , I wondered why anybody needed a God to begin with . I felt they were spineless and were afraid of death and the unknown. But now that I have a relationship with Jesus, I know who holds tomorrow. I love my Lord for he first loved me. I taught a lot of people that he didn't exist and my heart is broken for now I know the truth and Jesus is the truth, the way, and the everlasting life. I pray for all of those that don't know my Savior. His arms are open for all that want him. God bless

How can you understand the logical contradiction of being angry at someone who doesn't exist, yet still refuse to question your premise that atheists are angry at God?

Someone who believes in a god and is angry at it is a misotheist, not an atheist.

I'm not an atheist, but I believe they are angry at having Christians trying to force their religion on them. It bhas nothing to do with a deity. Frankly, I get tired of Christians trying to control everything, too.

I think they are more angry with the people who believe in God... and have wonderfully fulfilled lives. But that's just an opinion, I don't know why they feel the need to faith-bash.
