Why should anyone else like Atheists, Jews, Mormons, Buddhists etc, be allowed to celebrate a Christian holiday? He's our Jesus, why should they get to enjoy his birthday too.

Devisive b**ch!Be thankful that you live in a place where you are ALLOWED to celebrate "your'" holiday, there are places in the world where NOBODY celebrates Christmas. You want to repress others based on the particulars of your' OWN mythology, but exclude people who believe differently.Well,I consider myself to be anong a group that dosen't do that...they call us AMERICANS!!!

Answer: According to Roman tax records, Jesus was born in July Not December!
Seems more likely that Christians over took the existing holiday of Yule...By your (il) logic, Christians should not be allowed to celebrate Yule, and now have to fight with the Fourth of July for their Lords birthday.

Because excluding people from celebrating Chirstmas goes against the spirit of Christmas and the teachings of Jesus. Other faiths still believe Jesus was a great prophet, whose birth should be remembered. Mormons believe Jesus is the son of God, as well.

Halloween should only be for Pagans.

It's not, as you know, his birthday anyway. It's a re-marketed solstice holiday. Besides. When you get it out of ever shopping mall in the county, I'll consider labeling it a religious holiday. But being forced to listen to Alvin & the Chipmunks Christmas song all season is reason enough to establish it as a secular holiday, if not downright demonic.

Jesus, Lord and Savior, was probably born in July. The Bible does not tell us to celebrate Jesus' birthday.
Christmas(like society) has literally taken the "Christ" out of christmas. Christians should celebrate Jesus everyday. So if people want to give each oher gifts on dec 25, let them.

I don't think others should be allowed to have usurped Saturnalia, the winter solstice and the myth of Mithras for their selfish religious purposes... all of these things were the basis for "Christmas" and existed long before Jesus came along. I wish you people could come up with your own holidays and leave the Pagan holidays to us Pagans.

Oh, and by the way, since you all want everyone to say "merry christmas' to you instead of happy holidays or whatever, and have your creches in public places.... so if the rest of us aren't "allowed" to celebrate YOUR holiday, do you still expect us to say merry christmas and allow your stupid nativity scenes to be set up in OUR view when you don't want us to have anything to do with YOUR holiday? You didn't think this through, obviously, did you?

It's not even Jesus's birthday it's a fake holiday to begin with. If it was, given his life, do you think he'd want to exclude all those you mention? If whomever wants to celebrate let them. Why don't people learn from his life that acceptance and love is key to life.. not the hatred you are preaching.

Let others have their own fun in whatever way they wish to celebrate. We Christians know what we are celebrating. Non-Christians just need to let us wish them "Merry Christmas" without getting offended. That seems like a fair compromise for now.

Jesus came as a Savior to all, not just Christians.

One Old Testament prophecy says he will be called "Emmanuel", which means "God with us".

Jesus, God's Son, came in the flesh to offer himself up as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. This hope is for all people, whether or not they believ it.

Here's the rub. If you believe Jesus is the Christ, then you must believe that He is the Christ of all mankind. He welcomes all to the table and none are turned away. Why would you exclude anyone who may be edified by the Spirit of Christmas.

Also, HE IS NOT YOUR JESUS. Claiming that the Lord and Savior belongs to you or that you have any exclusive claim to Him is ridiculously offensive.
