If you saved someones life knowing it would kill you would it be suicide? For example you save someone from an oncoming car knowing that the impact would kill you, is that suicide?

A different example would be if you committed suicide to save the lives of many other people would you still go to hell?

There are probably 2 different answers to the examples as they are fairly dissimilar. But none the less would like to know your thoughts

How about these verses that Jesus spoke in Matthew 23:13-33:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves...

...Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith...

...Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel! Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence...

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness...

...Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?”

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
The word in the bible (we read to you) is living and active. The word (in the bible) is truely Gods word. This is why it is so hard to hear. It penitrates and judges us. We do not judge, but Gods word judges. So when you say Chritians are judging you with the bible, now you know we are just messengers for God. God is the one judging. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27

I was watching Jeopardy and Categories about Paleontology, Evolution, and Astronomy were on both boards. Many answers referred to an Earth many Billions of years old, the common ancestry of humans and their ape cousins, and the Big Bang. Since this is show that is highly regarded and its answers are well researched and documented, I was wondering if you thought it blasphemous and if you allow your children to watch it?

If you kill one innocent person, you're a murderer.
If you kill 10 innocent people, you're a serial killer.
If you kill 10,000 innocent people, you're genocidal
If you kill millions of innocent people, you're a religion.

I was thinking of my relationship with 'God.' I used to feel really close to my invisible friend. I've yet to see the miraculous answering of my prayer that I will be cured of my chronic illness of 13 years that robbed me of my life. I'm starting to think my invisible friend might be imaginary. He doesn't seem to care what I think about Him anymore. I don't appreciate Him not being there for me during the tough times if He's real. I have lots of friends like that. So, don't tell me about Job. Don't tell me about tests and tribulations and leaning on the 'word.' It has become like clanging brass to me. Blah, blah, blah, blah...and 40 days and fish. Bologna. There are no invisible friends or enemies are there?

"This is a Christian country. Why, so is hell. Inasmuch as 'Strait is the way and narrow is the gate, and few-few-are they that enter in thereat' has had the natural effect of making hell the only really prominent Christian community in any of the worlds; but we don't brag of this and certainly it is not proper to brag and boast that America is a Christian country when we all know that certainly five-sixths of our population could not enter in at the narrow gate."
