He was caught so it wasn't a case of maybe he did it. Also it wasn't child pornography so it wasn't illegal. How would you, your church or your denomination respond?

My fellowship is non-denominational, but if one of our pastors was stumbling on pornography, the elders would minister to him. Meaning, they would speak to him about it, pray for him, pray WITH him and ask him to turn away from it. If he didn't, he would be asked to step down.

God bless!

That's a good question. It happens all the time. I probably would have him meet with the board and begin some means of restoration and accountability if he is willing to seek counsel.

on one hand, being a christian means forgiving, however, sexual addiction is not that easily cured.
i would suggest an ongoing open communication with him about his situation and perhaps a hooker ,
that might take the edge off

I'd ask him to do that on his own time and let it go. It's only porn, for God's sake, it's not like he's hurting anyone.

First I'd say Welcome to humanity.

Beyond that, since it's not my money, I don't care.

Being a member of the clergy is the most dishonest profession worldwide, so what do you expect from someone who has to lie for a living?

The Catholic Church remains silent, as I'm sure you're already aware.

One, you could fire him. Or two, you could demand his public repentance and that he take solid steps, such as counciling, to free himself from this serious sin.
