i have struggled all my life to met what my parents wanted of me. first they pressure me and then pick my future but i don't want what they want i want what i want and i want to be a islamic scholar but my parents will not let me . im a 9th grade girl who is a muslim trying to be a better muslim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 so becoming what i want to be inshallah and ignoring what they want will it be considered a sin?// because allah had told us to be kind and respectfull with our parents and that parents come 3rd after allah and nabi mohamed.............????????????????plz help with tons of info if i'm not asking alot..............

Well ur just strugginling rite now
1st) just calm down all parents are like that, well some but its okay
2) if u want to become a better muslim follow the five pillars of islam and really get to know it and understand it!!
3) pray!!! pray!!! pray!!! Praying is very important in islam so u should pray the 5 daily prayers cuz it is a must!! and it is worth alot of ajar and allah loves those who pray.
4) If u think ur gonna do something bad think to ur self that allah can see u all the time an whoever can't see u allah can and say to ur self " Does allah wants me to do this?" it will really make u think trust me!!

Well, very nice, this is not a big problem my friend/sister, look if u are TRUE GOOD MUSLIM THEN U DON'T ACTUALLY NEED ANY DEGREE OR CERTIFICATE TO AUTHENTICATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABT YOUR RELIGION OR FOR YOURSELF, so my advice: BECOME A DOCTOR OR ENGINEER OR WHATEVER GOOD YOUR PARENTS WISH FOR YOU AND STICK TO THE TEACHINGS OF ALLAH AND NABI (SAW) AND OBEY YOUR PARENTS OR DO YOU NEED SOMETHING OR SOMEONE ELSE TO AUTHENTICATE YOU AS A GOOD KNOWLEDGABLE PERSON OR A MUSLIM SCHOLAR.
HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE INTEREST TO SEEK MORE AND MORE ABT YOUR RELIGION, GO AHEAD, NOBODAY AND EVEN NOT YOUR PARENTS WILL EVER STOP YOU.

muslim means "believer of God"
to be a good believer of God, you must acknowledge that God indeed has a Son.
it is beyond our wisdom and intelligence that God would come in human flesh to save us.
God is faithful, and the only way to reach out to us was His Son, Jesus.
when you acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for you and i because He loved us, then you will be saved, your sins forgiven, and you would have Help from Above for your problems.
No other God has died for me other than mine.
Jesus had you on His mind when He was suffering and dying on that bloodied cross.
He died and rose again, so that He will be called Redeemer and The Resurrection.
today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart. if you believe in Him, you would have His power and love to overcome all situations in your life.

Why do you want to be a muslim ? have you truly read the quran? Of course not, women are not allowed to read the quran. Do you know of the honor killings? A man has the right to beat his wife if he doesn't follow him completely. That is in the quran. If the avatar you are using was an actual picture of you, any man could rape you and you would be wiped for it because you were improperly dressed. So again, are you sure you want to be a muslim?

well all right... i get your point here.
I'm not a muslim, but what i can say, is that you should honor your parents first and foremost. pray about it, and i believe that if your God is real, then he(?) will grant you what your heart desires, which in this case is to become an islamic scholar.
It works... at least with my God. Similar case, realize that when I do what God tells me to do (honor parents, etc) i find my heart's desire (which might not be what i thought it was).

well, i believe you have a right to decide for your own future, but for now just focus on your education, u can also try talking to them gently, inshaallah, they'll change their mind, just make sure u do well in school first since u're still in 9th grade, surely that will please them.
