If you kill one innocent person, you're a murderer.
If you kill 10 innocent people, you're a serial killer.
If you kill 10,000 innocent people, you're genocidal
If you kill millions of innocent people, you're a religion.

John S: The Amish and Quakers are Christian. Other members of their religion more than made up for it.

Yes, I agree with the quote.
I would also add,
"If you kill them all, then you're a god."

Point taken. So Nazism was a religion? Answer: Yes, to many. Remember the dictate to the ladies was to tend strictly to "kinder, kirche und kirke" They were "unter ( the aegis of) den Christ lichen Kirchen." Alas, Hitler and the gang were a bunch of devout Christians. Among other things, the religious slant served to fool a whole bunch of other "good" Christians into going along with the slaughter of millions...as occurred in the Inquisition and the Crusades. In our country in 2007 ones religion or alleged lack thereof is a MAJOR factor in the Presidential race. Just read the papers or check the Internet. And witness the fighting on Q and A. A sad commentary on how well humanity is progressing. To be sure, Hitler's and others versions of Christianity have NOTHING to do with what Jesus taught. Few people get his message anyhow, with some notable exceptions of course.

Too true.
My mom would probably say: If you kill millions of innocent people, you're George W. Bush.
EDIT: Maybe it's just me, but the Amish and Quakers are stuck in the 1800s, and they get around by horses and buggies. And they keep to themselves. Perhaps that is more of a lifestyle choice than a religion.

Why is innocent emphasized?
Why not just people.
I would change the last line to monster.
Religion does not kill nor does religion teach people to kill anymore than Harry Potter teaches kids the occult.
Does the gun kill or the person?
Its the person who is accountable for their actions.
Some people can drink and never have it affect their lives while some drunks can never drink.
Does that mean we should ban alcohol, of course not.
God Bless

I'd have to say I agree with you. Just look at the Spanish Inquisition and what the "Christians" did to the Native Americans in this country. I know there are countless other examples, but those are the two that immediately come to mind.

Kill the millions in this life to save them from hell. No, I'm not encouraging murder, neither am I absolving the huge guilt on religion, but it really depends... on what context you're talking about, cause there's always another side to an argument.

That's from Stalin. The last line is you are a statistic. Not a religion.

It is from religion that we learn "Thou shall not kill". It is the religious who are trying to prevent abortion, which has claimed 50 million lives in North America in the last 40 years. Get your facts straight.
