Peoples from all over the world allow their religion to dictate how they live their lives based on word of mouth in the so called Scriptures. Yet if we are to believe that religion is just a state of mind, why can't the great minds of this world stop and prevent all the various wars and terrorism. We all have the ability to discipline our minds into making this a better world to live in so what part does religion have to play, if any?

I'm catholic and I believe in God. I go to church every sunday and I respect and believe in God's words. But they don't talk about sex during mass very much, and I'm SOOO CONFUSED about it.

I'm in High School, and most people already had sex. I don't believe in sex intill marriage.

But if someone masterbaits(when someone touches themself, almost like having sex with yourself) Is that against God's words? One of my friends does that(and is not ashame of it either)

So I want to know is it bad or not? Cuz its not like you are actually doing it becuz you like yourself and you want to have sex with yourself. You just do it becuz it feels good.

I have always tried to help everyone who has asked it of me. I have run into two different people with the same types of personality, they are both very needy and I’m willing to help them, but I’ve run out of things to say or do for them. I have gave them my shoulder , helped them seek counseling, medication, help from the churches, tried to get one financial help, did all the foot work for Medicaid, financial assistance, all the programs, I even opened up my home, but it’s always the same thing, everything I say or do goes in one ear and out the other. I am very discouraged. I have run out of advise, and ways to help. I have been talking with them for months and every time it’s “ I don’t know what to do or where to go, no one will help me” But I’ve tried so very hard, I’ve offered everything I could, I helped them seek help if I can’t offer what they’re looking for, I’ve always been there for them and always tried to help them, but now I have no more to offer, I have done everything I should, said everything there was to say, extended myself beyond my limits. And now I’m finding that I am depressed because I feel like I failed them. This morning I was even scared to open up an e-mail from one of them, but I did any way and…..”No one will help me, I don’t know what to do” AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! Now I need the help because I don’t know what to do anymore. I think it’s spreading and I feel like a bad person because I have nothing more to say. Has anyone else been through this? What did you do?

why when a group of arabs destroying the twin tower, all close minded people thinks muslim are bad?is the act of that group, not islam.What about mafia?..they are christian. So we should say christian are bad? what about white christian people lynching those african american people?why don't we called christian are evil?Islam restrict war unless their religion are threaten.Don't compare Arabs muslim with the rest of muslim all around the world. arabs muslim got their own problem.They're children was raise in a hard life. to convert atheism? As Christians, should we be accepting of all kinds (regardless of faith), or be narrowed-minded into believing everyone needs to take our word?

Live and let live. Accept others as they are while offering knowledge of faith.

People always ask atheists how we can have morals without religion. Adam and Eve were around before the ten commandments and religion, so why didn't they kill each other? How did life go on before the ten commandments if religion is what keeps us from killing each other? If God did teach them, which is answers that I have received earlier on, why did we need the ten commandments later?

I recently asked a question about works and penance and I want to re-ask it sort of. I believe that Christians are saved by faith not by works. However I also believe if we are saved we will have works. We will have love. We will help people when we can. We will spread the gospel. We will have works that serve a purpose. However as I understand it many times when confessing a person is told a certain number of our father or hail Marys to say. From what I can see this work benefits no one. It does not feed anyone. It does not make someone feel loved. It does not clothe anyone. It seems to me to be a pointless work that benefits no one and has no value beyond tradition. So my question is what is the point in saying hail Marys or our fathers?

Me personally,I'm generally against,though I understand the reasons why people would want to kill themselves or assist in the death of a friend or family member;my belief is that life is always better than death,and perseverance is better than taking a negative easy way out.That weather the person is severely ill or just going through a lot of stuff that appears to be a great mountain that cant be gone over or gone around.
My opinion is theese people need to be helped and encouraged to do the things necessary&the work necessary to improve their situation.

What are your thoughts?

So...i´m virgin...i have a muslim bf and we´ll get married...we agreed that both of us will keep their religion so no problem here..., but in their religion, bleeding on ur first night is really important... i never had sex before, used pads , never tampons, buut once rubbed myself against the sheets and reached orgasm, without inserting anything inside... i didnt see any blood nor did i feel any pain...could my hymen be broken just because of what i did?...

I'm an elementary school teacher with three very young daughters. My husband is very involved in the church and feels that he may have the calling to preach. Lately, I've become much more immersed in my faith as well. But now I'm having trouble with the intimate side of the relationship with my husband. It's almost like I feel that enjoying that part of my marriage is wrong, but I know that's crazy!

Being around small kids all day and studying the Bible has kind of diminished my sensual side. How can I be the three things I need (and want) to be: A good Christian, a friend AND lover to my husband, and good mother?
