they say "NOPE. can't prove evolution, MUST be God." we can't prove evolution just like they can't prove God exists. wait, no, we have evidence. the only evidence they have is that they've 'seen' him. that's great.

anyways, back to question. how is it that if someone can't prove evolution, it HAS to be God?

Why is there so much God-Less trash on Yahoo!? I notice that whenever I post a question about Christian issues, I get in return a barrage of anti-Christian and non-Christian answers. There are a few who base their responses on fact and the Bible, but many just spout this humanist and satanist garbage at me. Why is this going on? Where have all the Holy ones gone?

Dear Lord....

Enlighten our minds,
Strengthen our hearts,
Cleanse our souls,
Tame our demons,
And renew our faith.

For you are The One, my Lord,
Who giveth salvation,
And wipeth the tears from the weeping eye.
You I turn to,
And this You return to me:
A knowledge that in your loving hands I will be safe from harm.

Therefore I will sing your praises,
Both day and night,
And with the licence of the poets pen,
I will try my best to describe Your Majesty.

This I pray dear Lord - to You.

Well actually I don't as I'm an atheist, so I guess I'm gonna burn in hell.

Oh well.

Other ancient peoples, including the Egyptians, practiced circumcision?!? I thought the whole point of circumcision was to set the Hebrews apart from the pagans around them, and they got the idea for circumcision direct from God, yet evidence abounds that others engaged in this rite!

There is no end to the Christian response to abortion, but the silence is deafening in response to war and other atrocities resulting in the loss of life.

God hates abortion, somewhere in the Bible it must say so because we hear it all the time. In that great big book of love it doesn't say that killing people in war is wrong? That men who send others to fight and die for poitical reasons are evil?

How is one person decidng for themselves to terminate their own pregnancy more egregious than 1 man who is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands?

There's a thunderous outcry coming the religious community for the loss of any fetus through abortion, however the many wives, husbands sons and daughters who die as a result of war garner barely a whisper of disdain.

Why the disparity?

Gossip, idle talk, is a bad thing....it is often malicious. What do you see the Bible saying about it?
I have seen references to idle talk....
in the Book of Revelations, "those who love lies and make lies."

I got to thinking that if G-d is Omnipotent and Omiscient then one would assume that he already knows what you want and what is best for you and what is actually going to happen. So, to prayer anything but the Lord's prayer would be questioning G-d's judgment...right?

the answer is not because there isnt necessarily one. do you remember when you were little? little children do things like hit their sisters, right? what happens? their parents still love them, correct? but yet they send them into their rooms or the corner. hell is punishment from god. and if you dont understand that i will be surprised.

As Salaam Alaikum
I have seen many Muslimahs kiss eachother right cheek to left cheek and back to right cheek, which is 3 times whenever they meet eachother ever time, but is this Islamic correct or culture? I was taught that Muslimahs should shake hands and say as salaam alaikum, or as salaamu alaikum wa rahmatuAllah wa barakatuhu , and it's okay to hug your sister if you have not seen her in along time, but kissing cheek to cheek 3 times is incorrect and it's culture verse Islamic correct. Am I right? I think this act can become confusing to new Muslimahs into thinking this greeting is apart of Islam instead of culture.

This is my source:
A person asked the Prophet (pbuh): When one of us meets his brethren or his friends should he bow for them? The Prophet said: No. He asked: Should he hug them or kiss them? The Prophet replied: No. He asked: Should he shake their hands? The Prophet (pbuh) said: Yes. (as reported in Tirmidhi)
