they say "NOPE. can't prove evolution, MUST be God." we can't prove evolution just like they can't prove God exists. wait, no, we have evidence. the only evidence they have is that they've 'seen' him. that's great.
anyways, back to question. how is it that if someone can't prove evolution, it HAS to be God?

"Well, if evolution did in fact happen and everyone and everything evolved from one organism to completely different ones then wouldn't the same thing still happen now? You can't cross a pig and a dog can you? Then what makes that any different back then, this proves that not only is evolution completely impossible"
Summer M, that almost made me laugh because I do not understand your logic in that at all. please try and explain it to me xD

And why a specific god? They don't say some higher power did it. They say "It was my god." It's both ignorance and arrogance. A dangerous combination.

Darwinism or Neo-Darwinism or what have you, generally refers to the idea that all life present on the Earth has a common ancestor… a tiny, simple, single-celled organism. I accept that evolution happens… finch's beaks change size and shape to some limited extent over time. I have no problem with evolution in that specific sense, and that is well-supported by evidence. Micro evolution is real. Call me an evolutionist if that is what is being talked about.
HOWEVER, the idea that a finch could, via the same process, become a giant purple snorklewhacker is not supported by any real evidence. It's only assumed to be true by virtue of the fact that finch's beaks change shape a little.
"Macro-evolution", which essentially refers to a simpler organism developing into a more complex organism is a whole different thing. There is absolutely no evidence of natural processes spontaneously producing the complex specified information we find in living systems. So no, I don't believe there is macro evolution ... There is no evidence for it! Just look at the fossil record, no changes are to be found of one specie changing into another different specie.
When a Christian points out the impossibility of a biological system (or feature) forming by pure chance so many accuse them of invoking a "God of the gaps". YET, when they are asked how a particular feature could come about solely by chance they invoke "Evolution of the gaps" (i.e., we don't know HOW but we do know that Evolution MUST have done it!)
The bottom line basically is, if it cannot be found that life can develop and change naturally, there must be something outside of nature at work.

You can't cross a pig and a dog can you? Then what makes that any different back then, this proves that not only is evolution completely impossible but there had to be a supreme being that was involved in creation, and besides what I don't understand is how someone can be so naive to the world around them that they can possibly think that all of this was one big "accident".

Neither can be proved by the human eyes. The earth was created some way.
Personally I can Not accept we came from a Monkey. We are an intelligent design not transformed through millions and millions of years.
If we we're to hand fire to a monkey,What would happen?
They would run away or try to knock it out of your hand. They more than likely would not think to put the fire in water or use a fire extingisher.Unless it was taught by a human.

Other than that.... there is a realness with God that includes His Holy Bible As a Guide for our lives.
I as a Christian Believe I have a personal relationship with Him. I like so Many has seen miracles and after you see something like that there is no doubt. If not seeing a physical healing theres other miracles that He has done in our lives. We feel there is a true reach out from God and His Hand is not short. Its an everyday thing Not only on Sundays.

The theory of evolution is based on physical evidence and belief in the christian version of "god" is based on belief in the bible.
I personally find it very hard to believe in things like Noah's ark, Adam and Eve and a talking snake, the story that says all of the world's languages came from the "Tower of Babel", etc. I think most people (adults anyway) who want to find out about the world around them, look to science (which is based on physical evidence) for answers rather than religious doctrines.

I truly wish to answer this but just had a violation this morning for quoting John Dewey so I’ll find another approach.
I see scientist searching with open minds for truth and as they search their minds become great yet they search on knowing there's more to it then they've discovered.
I see some faithful sit in judgment knowing that their knowledge is complete by literal interpretation of a book written thousands of years ago.
Those that claim to know all truth seldom know much about anything.
Those that say there's no god are usually created in reaction and contrast to those who claim to know everything and for this reason are just as wrong.
The “Truth” of God in within each of us, and no one can save nor damn another.
The “Truth” of the physical world is brilliantly handled without interference from people that have their conclusions before the questions are asked.
Perhaps that will not be taken as hard as John Dewey but he still said it better.

Science deals with evidence - proof is a mathematical concept.
* Over 99.8% of scientists in relevant fields accept evolution
* There are no alternative scientific theories.
* There is a staggering amount of evidence for it, and zero evidence against it.
* The "debate" only takes place in backward countries like Turkey and parts of the united states
* The "debate" consists of educate people trying to educate others.
* It's almost always christians that reject evolution.
* ... partly because many of them are unable to tell the difference between their opinions and facts.
* The more educated a person is, the more likely they are to understand - and accept - evolution.
* Many christians are able to understand and accept it.

Even if evolution were wrong- and I use "were" in the same way I would say "if pink unicorns were to take over earth- then even still it would not prove anything. Even if they strike down evolution, the big bang, gravity... it doesn't do anything to prove that there is a God, or that it is THEIR God that is the actual God of this universe. It is probably a God that looks like Mr. Potato Head, and he rides a flying dragon in outer space.

I would like to clarify that Christians don't believe in creation because evolution can't be proven. We believe we were created by God because He says he created us and not because we reject science.
Available evidence from the latest scientific research is convincing more and more scientists that facts support faith as never before.

To be able to prove naturalistic evolution, you must be able to prove that God doesnt exist. Such a thing is beyond the ability of science.
Naturalistic evoution assumes there is no creator. Creationism assumes a creator. The best modern religion, philosophy, and science can offer is either we were created through a natural process unguided by a creator, or we are products of a supernatural source.
If you have any other theories we will certainly entertain them!
