there is n o hell as a place of eternal torment inside the frame of the Holy Scriptures.
What sort of people go to the Bible hell?
Does the Bible say that the wicked go to hell?
Ps. 9:17, KJ: “The wicked shall be turned into hell,* and all the nations that forget God.” (*“Hell,” 9:18 in Dy; “death,” TEV; “the place of death,” Kx; “Sheol,” AS, RS, NE, JB, NW.)
Does the Bible also say that upright people go to hell?
Job 14:13, Dy: “[Job prayed:] Who will grant me this, that thou mayst protect me in hell,* and hide me till thy wrath pass, and appoint me a time when thou wilt remember me?” (God himself said that Job was “a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad.”—Job 1:8.) (*“The grave,” KJ; “the world of the dead,” TEV; “Sheol,” AS, RS, NE, JB, NW.)
Acts 2:25-27, KJ: “David speaketh concerning him [Jesus Christ], . . . Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,* neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.” (The fact that God did not “leave” Jesus in hell implies that Jesus was in hell, or Hades, at least for a time, does it not?) (*“Hell,” Dy; “death,” NE; “the place of death,” Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV; “Hades,” AS, RS, JB, NW.)
Does anyone ever get out of the Bible hell?
Rev. 20:13, 14, KJ: “The sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell* delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.” (So the dead will be delivered from hell. Notice also that hell is not the same as the lake of fire but will be cast into the lake of fire.) (*“Hell,” Dy, Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV; “Hades,” NE, AS, RS, JB, NW.)

In the Bible God does not tell us anything wrong. Look at the ten commandments. He Simply wants you to obey the good stuff. Think about it if everyone in the world followed the 10 commandments plus live more like God then there would not be a need for HELL. Just like earth if people would follow the laws then there wouldn't be a need for jail, fines, or anything else used for punishment. You have to remember God knows every ones life before you were even thought about being conceived. God knows that man wont be perfect like him but you can surly try. Just do the right thing. Do what you know is right. God is the high priest. He controls the entire world. He decides how long the world will last and life on earth.

Ahhh, my point for years!I used to say, “How can God be a loving God AND still make you fear Him?” and “What loving being would force you to suffer for eternity?” After I lost my religion, I grew very angry. Especially thinking about all those movies that scared the crap out of us about the end of the world! I felt that a loving God shouldn't have to frighten you to get you to love Him. And the heaven and hell that were described to me… well, neither were desirable! Until my cousin got me to pray, “If there is a God, prove it to me,” I didn't believe in God at all. But things happened that changed my mind drastically. I am not religious, but spiritual. Big, big difference. Now I Know there Is a God, but He is Not what so many think! God is Not vengeful, people are! Karma is not a punishment, but a lesson. For those who would say that it is stupid to believe at all (like I would have not too long ago), I challenge them to say the prayer above. I did it without belief, fear, or expectation. I do caution you, however. Some of us take a LOT of convincing, and it could be quite intense. But if you are truly convinced there is no God, then you would not have any trouble saying a ‘pointless’ prayer, would you? I mean, after all, what's the worst that could happen? Nothing, right? On the other hand, it could change your life. But you will never know unless you try.

First u choose to go there from what actions to take . You have to understand this is the 1 who made u! No one on earth or if u belive in alliens well....they cant make u who u are! and i asked my Friend the same (?) she replyed "well, did u pay for ur eyes?" i replyed "no of course not..hello" She then said "how bout ur hands, ur feat, ur ability to talk, ur own personal feeling that not any 1 on earth can have the same of.. like u or take away from u" I said "no" Then she said then y not u be thankful for it? I said" this has nothing to do with what i asked u" She said o, but it does... y see SOME people out there r only thinking of how much money they can make or other stuff.. not that they should be thankful for what they have" i said "so" she replyed this is y god has hell. To punish, not out of fun, but to show them to that they never took the time to relize all that he has given them, and for people who commit sins inteninly, and who dont repent. not to say go do a sin and repent! no! To think to themselves that " o, i commited what was not allowed from god, i should repent and not to do it again cause he knows the conciquince of his action he took.
And that the heavens were made to reward those who did what they were told to do In this life, AND From GOD SENT THE 4 BOOKS WITH HIS 4 MESSSNGERS;THE BOOKS WERE: THE BIBBLE, THE TORAH, THE QURAN,AND THE INGEEL. So y not belive if u you Know what awaits in the hereafter, and if obey the rules of these books u can recive the chance to go to heaven! And remember that this life is temperary but the hereafter is forever! So now i leave u with this thought.

roflmao... somehow, being sent to burn for all eternity seems a little extreme for saying the word "god" as a swear word and not being sorry for it, don't you think?
Parents punish their children depending on how big the violation was, and its NEVER for all eternity, and/or a violation of them as a person. Your god does not do that.
So how could a loving god ever send someone to hell where they will suffer all manner of tortures and nightmares for something tiny like stealing a pencil. Thats not the sort of thing a "loving" person does, now is it?
Honestly, why don't you people ever use your head?

Why would God allow His Son Jesus to die on the cross for us if His death had no meaning?
"He did not even spare His own Son, but offered Him up forus all, how will He not also with Him grant us everything" (Romans 8:32)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
Jesus died for us so that we would not have to go to hell.
"But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us! Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved by Him from wrath" (Romans 5:8-9)\
Jesus was killed on our behalf. If this was not true don't you think that God would have spared His Son from death?
Understand that God is a righteous judge. If a judge today just said to a murderer "everything is okay you can go now" what do you think the public would say. The fact of the matter is that we have disobayed God continuously and that we should be punished but He loves us so much that He gave us a way out, a way to bring us out of sin and back to Him.
I hope this answers your question.
Christ be with you.

Hell is the answer to a choice you made already, only in it's full form. If someone chooses to live there life apart from Christ, as an adult then they get it for all eternity. The thing is with your example, as a parent myself, when they are small, yes they stand in the corner and yes we still love them. As they get older though the penalty for misbehavior gets more severe, and as adults we learn though we still love our kids as much as ever , they have to live with the consequences of their own choices. I read in a book once that earth is the closest some will get to hell and the closest some will ever get to heaven. Hell will be the total absense of God [good].

The idea of our loving Creator burning us for ever for one lifetime of mistakes barley sounds just let alone loving!
Here is a pinch of the article;
What Really Is Hell?
WHATEVER image the word "hell" brings to your mind, hell is generally thought of as a place of punishment for sin. Concerning sin and its effect, the Bible says: "Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." (Romans 5:12) The Scriptures also state: "The wages sin pays is death." (Romans 6:23) Since the punishment for sin is death, the fundamental question in determining the true nature of hell is: What happens to us when we die?
Does life of some kind, in some form, continue after death? What is hell, and what kind of people go there? Is there any hope for those in hell? The Bible gives truthful and satisfying answers to these questions.
Life After Death?
Does something inside us, like a soul or a spirit, survive the death of the body? Consider how the first man, Adam, came to have life. The Bible states: "Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life." (Genesis 2:7) Though breathing sustained his life, putting "the breath of life" into his nostrils involved much more than simply blowing air into his lungs. It meant that God put into Adam's lifeless body the spark of life—"the force of life," which is active in all earthly creatures. (Genesis 6:17; 7:22) The Bible refers to this animating force as "spirit." (James 2:26) That spirit can be compared to the electric current that activates a machine or an appliance and enables it to perform its function. Just as the current never takes on the features of the equipment it activates, the life-force does not take on any of the characteristics of the creatures it animates. It has no personality and no thinking ability.
What happens to the spirit when a person dies? Psalm 146:4 says: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish." When a person dies, his impersonal spirit does not go on existing in another realm as a spirit creature. It "returns to the true God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7) This means that any hope of future life for that person now rests entirely with God.
The ancient Greek philosophers Socrates and Plato held that a soul inside a person survives death and never dies. What does the Bible teach about the soul? Adam "came to be a living soul," says Genesis 2:7. He did not receive a soul; he was a soul—a whole person. The Scriptures speak of a soul's doing work, craving food, being kidnapped, experiencing sleeplessness, and so forth. (Leviticus 23:30; Deuteronomy 12:20; 24:7; Psalm 119:28) Yes, man himself is a soul. When a person dies, that soul dies.—Ezekiel 18:4.
What, then, is the condition of the dead? When pronouncing sentence upon Adam, Jehovah stated: "Dust you are and to dust you will return." (Genesis 3:19) Where was Adam before God formed him from the dust of the ground and gave him life? Why, he simply did not exist! When he died, Adam returned to that state of complete absence of life. The condition of the dead is made clear at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, where we read: "The dead know nothing . . . In the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." (New International Version) Scripturally, death is a state of nonexistence. The dead have no awareness, no feelings, no thoughts.

I think there is a misunderstanding of what hell is, in the bible hades (hell) is thrown into the lake of fire in revelation. How can hell be thrown into itself? simply put hell is the common grave of mankind.
Fire is symbolic of everlasing destruction. second if you punish your child by burning what does that make you? a child is disciplined yes, but not tormented forever, big difference.
Where are adam and eve? what was the penalty for their sin? everlasting suffering? or everlasting death? you would have to be kept alive to suffer. And if you read the bible it says he takes no delight in the death of someone wicked, but that he turn back and keep on living. that is in ezekiel if any are interested. so if he stops being wicked he keeps living which means he won't die at that point.
so how would he continue to keep someone alive in a fire for eternity and have to watch it? I mean what happens when somethng burns it turns to powder, so if you burn forever he would have to keep you from turning to powder. That would require his attention or awareness of your existance and pain.
No hellfire is a misinterpretation of Jesus parable (illustration) which are not true stories. It has been used over the ages to scare people into obedience to the rulers. The dead are not conscious at all (ecclesiates 9:5)
So a loving God would not literally torment people for eternity for a few years of sinning. That would be unjust and "far be it for the true God to act wickedly." That is in job can't remember where. Torment was a word used when people were thrown into prison in bible times.

Parents punish their kids in order to correct them and make them better. There is no rehabilitation in hell. It is torture without purpose other than revenge. It is not the invention of God but of sadistic human beings.

But I was never sent into my room for an eternity and certainly there was no physical pain. And I was usually punished for something that was obviously bad in my eyes and in the eyes of my parents. They never punished me for using my intelligence in a positive way, even if they might have disagreed with it.
