war= mass murder
thay're silent because they don't mind killing foriegners, nothing rationale about it, just out of sight out of mind, you see them as some far off fantasy anyway, not real people. not like white people certainly. they're the others. they don't matter.

There is an outrage. It just so happens that it makes alot better news to hear about the protests with abortion. It makes a better story. There are people that protest war everyday. There are people that don't believe in the war in Iraq. And many are indeed Christians. I am one of those. I hate war. I don't see it as something that is needed in a civilized world. Ghandi took on the entire British empire without EVER raising a single hand in violence. People will NEVER convince me that someone cannot do something without war. The death of any of God's creation by the hands of another is something that I see as deplorable and unacceptable.

There are a LOT of Christians who oppose the war and believe that it's wrong to take another person's life; whether it's through the criminal justice system, terminating the pregnancy or through military power.
Churches like Church of the Brethren, Mennonites, Amish, many of the United Methodist Church, and even many of the Baptist and Fundamentalist churches do not support military conflict.
And most of these churches also have outreaches into the community. We have programs to help women care for pregnancy, we also have ministries that are similar to the American Red Cross, as well as ministries that go into countries torn apart by war.

The previous testomony has examples of abortion as directed by God in it. So, that's certainly hypocritical to declare that taking of an unborn toddler's existence is incorrect, while the religion itself has examples of the worth and blessed reducing the unborn from the womb of their enemies. form of falls flat i think of. EDIT References for people who will choose for them: Genesis 38:24 Numbers 31:17 2 Kings 15:sixteen Hosea 13:15-sixteen Numbers 5:12-31

I've wondered that myself and I'm a Christian...
The only reasoning I can figure is maybe these folks suppose that most soldiers choose their profession with an understanding of the risks, whereas a fetus never chose to enter the world on its own...? idk, It's still hypocrisy.
But blanket statements never accomplish anything. Not all Christians ignore or support war. Many Christians understand abortion when it saves the life of the pregnant women and don't rant against "the loss of any fetus through abortion". I think in our country today, the wacky minorities garner the most attention and make everyone look bad. =)
Good question though.

Killing someone in defense of yourself or others is justified.
Killing someone because they are an inconvenience is unjustifiable.
I cannot believe so many people do not understand this very simple concept.
But then I can't believe how few people have any kind of real education or even want one either. There are some mysteries that just cannot be solved.
PS:
Isn't it great how many different ways God can explain the same thing using different people? Even those that do not believe in God can be used to do God's work, Nebuchadnezzar was God's servant and a pagan. Jeremiah 27:6 Daniel 3:14
I wonder if atheists know that they are God's willing servants and do his work when he leads them to?

In Scripture, war is necessary because of the tyranny of men. If we had a world without war, tyranny would be flourishing. Its an unfortunate and cruel world that we live in but the only way to stop people that want to take your freedom is to kill them. If we let them reign, we, our children, and grandchildren pay the price.
War is necessary and inevitable. Abortion is not. Abortion doesnt preserve anybodys rights, it takes them away. We all have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness despite age.
These are the rights past generations have suffered and fought for only to bring senseless death within our own borders for selfish reasons. The supreme court has no right to assign value to human life based on age or race. We are committing black slavery all over again.

One person terminating a life is doing so against that life that has no defence or human rights.
I personally do not like war or the idea of it. It has been used in times and is seriously wrong.
However your analogy is in left field. When countries go to war there is time and place to fight or run and hide.
A fetus cannot run, cannot hide, and sadly does fight for it's life on occasion.
There is your disparity all over the ground.

The bible tells us to live peaceably with all men as long as it is possible. When there are countries that want to take out another nations, for instance, we have the right to defend ourselves. We also have the right to defend the oppressed in other countries and they to help us. I hate war, but love freedom and I know freedom doesn't come cheap. Abortion is another matter, the baby didn't declare war on the mother, and is not a threat to the parents survival. The baby could always be placed up for adoption, then couples in America wont have to go to other countries to adopt.

we see how God VALUES life
Éxodus 21:22-25[However, if he lingers for a day or two days, he is not to be avenged, because he is his money. “And in case men should struggle with each other and they really hurt a pregnant woman and her children do come out but no fatal accident occurs, he is to have damages imposed upon him without fail according to what the owner of the woman may lay upon him; and he must give it through the justices. But if a fatal accident should occur, then you must give soul for soul, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, branding for branding, wound for wound, blow for blow. ]
and about war of course God doesnt like it that is why Jehovah's Witnesses are neutral in this aspect but look at what wonderful promise is made in Isaiah 2:4 "And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore"
also we see the irony when someone blesses there soldiers to go kill other human beings and yet on the other side the soldiers are also being blesses to kill. wheres the love that Chrsitians are supposed to be chractarized by?

A Guarantee for World Peace
Apart from providing education, God has established a government, or "kingdom," capable of ensuring worldwide peace. Significantly, the Bible describes God's chosen Ruler, Jesus Christ, as the "Prince of Peace." It further assures us that "to the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end."—Isaiah 9:6, 7.
What guarantee do we have that Christ's rule will successfully eliminate every kind of war? The prophet Isaiah adds: "The very zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this." (Isaiah 9:7) God has the will and the means to preserve lasting peace. Jesus has every confidence in this promise. That is why he taught his followers to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for God's will to be done on earth. (Matthew 6:9, 10) When that sincere request is finally answered, war will never again blight the surface of the earth.
